Keep your chin up big lad. I know it's not my place to say Les but you should try and get some respite yourself when your mom gets settled, I'm sure the last thing your mom wants is you getting down and depressed about what is the best thing for her situation.

Hang in there. What's best is usually the hardest thing to do, but you did it. Your Mom will be better off and you can visit her often. Remember that.

Hi Les. I'm so sorry to hear about your difficult time right now. Just know that things WILL get better. Better for your Mom, and better for you and your Dad. That is so great that she was able to get into the best nursing home in your area that quickly. I can't say "I know where you're coming from" because I don't. Both of my parents are still at home. You will always have my support my friend. I will say a prayer tonight that things get better for you very soon!

Today's the day Ma goes to the nursing home.
I'm nervous, worried and sad.
Hope it all goes well, and she likes it and it all works out. That's the next worry, that she is all ok and can stay. So many small things to worry about with her.

Anyway, I try to respond to some PMs as my box just stays full.
(Darklord Dave, why can't we customizers get more than 50 total PMs!!!!! Man! I need more space!!! It is WORK going through and deleting so many at a time, where I forget when someone's PMed me....we need more PM space!!! )

Sorry...some rant needed...

So, long day. Thanks again all for your continued endurance. Your heads and figures surround me, all waiting for finishment, so I will be back on them soon. Can't wait actually.

also just one tip about these homes from the experience i've learned is to make sure she is at a good table for meals. i've seen it go both ways and my grandmother with the wrong table was absolutely miserable there and then seated at the right table enjoyed eating and actually sat around with them for long periods of time afterwards. The right and wrongs tables are totally dependent on people’s personalities but it might be one of the things to pay attention to if your mom ends up not liking it. Old ladies can get cliquish.

Ma update. She's out there. Settled sorta. I am still in a state of numb. It doesn't seem real yet. Yesterday was a LONG day! Going back and will take more stuff out to her, and eat lunch and all.

On the home front, trying to get back into work. Hangin in there.
More as I know it.
