No hints yet. Sorry, I want this one to rock you guys.
Since I am not the only soul to work on it, I want to maximize the other party's input also. It is the first collaborative effort I have worked on of it's kind, and I am very proud of it so far. Working on the final part now.
No, I haven't touched the new Alien with paint yet. No time. SO many heads being painted that the alien will have to wait his turn. I do kinda like the metallic finish, as it captures some aspects of the look of it from the movie. It is just missing all the fine detail I want to see in it, and since this one will be as detailed as my ALIEN 3 one when it is finished, I don't want to rush it. Hell, I haven't finished my MacFarlane one yet!
If anyone can figure out how to remove the clear crown part yet, without breaking it, let me know. I am thinking of boiling it and carefully remving it, so I can repaint the inside underneath part first, so that is part one of any scheduled repaint of that. Then I will take my time, and probably work on it from time to time as I can. It may take a while.
Lots and lots of Michael Biehns and other stuff going now. The volume is of course, a slow down in and of itself. Add to, Ma stuff, so it's a trickle. If I hadn't started my secret project months back it wouldn't be anywhere near finished even now. Just requires some final parts work.
Oh, and I also finished two customs for the upcoming challenge, back in April. Back when I was taking a "two week break" that became two months too long...so at least I have my submissions for that upcoming event ready and waiting. Now to get to more stuff.
Lots to do. At least I have some of my old Mojo back. New paint, new brushes, and new outlook, I hope, so look for lots soon. FINALLY. I need it as much as you guys do. I am having to find ways to work and not think, which is all you do when you sit and paint, as things here are still sad and frustrating. That's been part of the recent delay of course, the stresses. I didn't say much in this thread, but about five or six days back, I was running a fever of 101 and not eating much at all. When I mentioned this to the doctor Ma was seeing, she said it may be a bug, but was more likely stress induced. Man, stress sucks! Even with cool toys arriving, my feelings were and are somewhat still eating me up. Literally.
Lost 17 pounds now. Eating again, but not much at a time. Working some in the yard too. NO energy though. I can rake a small segment and try to mow it, and I am totally worn down after. I used to could rake and mow the whole thing! Now, small parts. Age and stress I guess. At least I am out again, moving, thinking, and of course, painting.
So, all the many little heads on my desk and all around, have paint on them!
Oh, and one more thing, cousin Ellen, the one that gets the piano, may come to get it soon. FINALLY! But that will be a day or two of clearing the way, then the big move, then final cleanup....
Too much going on.
Anyway, paint! Must push and paint! Stuff arriving daily it seems. No end in sight. That is a good thing. THanks all, and thanks for the trust and patience. Much to come. And keep a wary eye out on Sunday. Not sure what time yet, but then.
And I will try to keep a Ma update too. Thanks all for your prayers. We need them still. Nothing's resolved yet....
Back to work!
