If you think about it Les and the likes of Darkartist Dave must account for a lot of the numbers here. (Well, at least those who love customs I mean, statues and stuff, not so much.)

Hi Les. :wave How ya doing Buddy?

I am always around. :monkey1

Been a tough few days with Ma. As always. Painting between interruptions for home related stuff, so I never get off the ground running like I prefer, but things are moving. All the heads on my desk have paint on them now (no bare spots anymore) and I do have a question for the Bale head guys out there...not that I am that close on them as opposed to these others, but the questions remain, on those wanting their's to be Cleric heads, as opposed to Waynes, do you guys want me to remove the loose hanging hair on his forehead? It might look a bit more like he looked in most of that movie. And leave the loose bits on the Bruce Wayne's? Just a question. Let me know in emails guys, so I can save them as to what is what and for who. Thanks.

Back to it....

"No time for Love, Dr. Jones!" :whip

just figured I would let you and Josh know on your actual threads since you probably get so many pms you can now pay towards getting the Stan Winston sculpt made . :)
It will a payment of $21.00 via paypal. I sent you a pm about it for full details.
Pm if you need too ! :rock

Theres no rush for the payment this week but the sooner the better so the sculpt work can start. :)
Sorry if I'm taking over your thread Les !.

Yeah, Les, that stopping and starting has to be tough on you trying to make progress on all of our stuff. Hopefully your Mom will get moved into her assisted living home soon. Are you still thinking about moving out after she's settled in?

Any more news for me on my stuff from you? I know you're VERY busy as always. I just wanted to check in with you on the stuff for me again.

Thanks! :D

Working on all of em Mike. May have your two Bats ready to ship, so you have something in hand sooner than later. Sorry about delays. Those are NOT planned I assure you. Way too much going on here and no settling ever. That is the tiring part, no damn breaks.

Speaking of which, got hit with a cost toughie yesterday, looks like it falls on me (my father, sis and bro are covering other expenses) to buy my Mom a new recliner chair for her new room at the retirement/assisted living home. Big expense out of nowhere, that I have to do with a smile. You know, the kind you sorta go OUCH! to in private, but outwardly go Oh, no problem!. We're talking a $500+ chair here. So there goes any new loose stuff and heads I wanted to buy (Winston, Ghostbusters, etc.,) for a while. Will be having a "sudden shock sale" here soon. Got to coup the money fast for this chair for ma. Hope I have cool stuff someone actually wants...

(Now is a good time to ask me for that thing that you wanted...to see if I would part with it...I don't mean in-progress work, that is still in progress...I mean something that is done...finished....and that you wanted...Note: most all Alien and Batman stuff NOT included in this offer...sorry....) Sincere and realistic offers only please...thanks.

Anyway, working also. As best I can. Thanks for the comments.

Look for the chair sale very soon.

Les, for all you have done for this board and it's members, I am sure that the kindness of this board can come through.

There is nothing worse than knowing that you have to sell items from your collection even though it sounds like it is for the best reason of all :)

For all the generosity that you have shown and the dedication that you put into the work that you do for members here (You do all this great work at very reasonable prices) I propose a challenge to all members here.

Lets say 50 members x $10 donation, or even 100 members x $5 dollar donations should acheive a sizeable portion of the cost.

Tell you what, to get the ball rolling I will gladly donate $20. That way we only need 48 more members.

Send me your Paypal details please Les :)

C'mon members, help a fellow freak out. Les is one of the good guys :clap

I am in once I have paid for the Stan Winston head ! :lol
I can't break into that , its not my money , the guys would kill me. :lol:lol

But yeah I'm totally in ! :rock
Les is one of the most awesome board members :rock:rock:rock:rock2

Sorry to hear about your Ma's unexpected chair drainage on you. My great-grandmother had hip surgery a few years ago before X-mas, so the family bought her a facy chair that pushes her out of it when she is ready to get up. It was a lifesafer, but expensive like your Mom's. I'm sure it will be well worth it though.

Keep hanging in there :rock

Thanks guys. Ma and I are VERY touched by this. I told her about this kind offer and she cried. And she said, if she could make all my friends on Freaks some brownies, she would. Just know it means a lot to her and me both.
I did go with her today, and looked at some chairs and found one she really liked, for around $300, so maybe it is more likely a realistic price than I had thought. Last time I looked at recliners, the decent ones were $500 and more.
Anyway, thanks. This kind of help and a sale or two might snag her just the one she wants.

Be back later with my sale items posted.
Again, thanks guys.

My grandmother had one a few years ago which we eventually gave to an old folks home.
its a shame we weren't closer it was basically doing nothing , well I sat in it occasionally but thats about it !.

Thats always the way though I guess. Anyway , I will totally put something towards the fund , if it makes you and your mum happy it will give me some happiness too ! :)
Keep up the good work Les and looks after yourself.

Les, look for balance funds coming early on our pending stuff! :rock

EDIT: DONE. PAYMENT SENT!

Hey Les. Wow, I'm VERY sorry to hear about the problems with your Mom losing her chair.

Come to think about it my father-in-law has one of those recliners with the electric lift device in it. It was lightly used by his mother before she passed away in October 2006. It is still sitting at her home unused right now waiting for us to move into the house later this year. I could talk to my father-in-law and see if he would either sell it cheap to you, or possibly donate it to you for free. It is still in great shape, and it still works fine too. I've sat in it and it is comfortable. It is a recliner. I can take some pictures of it for you, and post them here in your thread if you are interested in it. The big question would be shipping! It is heavy, and I don't have a truck anymore. I couldn't cram it into my little Dodge Neon car. My in-laws here have a Honda Odyssey van. I think it'd be a stretch asking them for me to bring it to you unless I could pay them for gas down I-10 from me in Slidell, LA to you in Waycross, GA.

Give me a call, e-mail or a PM Les if you want to go with this. I will talk to my father-in-law about it if you're interested in the chair. I don't think he was planning on using it. But I'll talk to him and be sure. If he won't give it to you, maybe he'll sell it to you for less than $300.00.

That is very kind of you Mike. Very. I very much appreciate your intent to deliver that chair to me. I am quite honored. But, since this is for my Mom, and she has already pretty much picked out the chair she wants now, (a nice brand new one in just the color and width she wants) I don't think that effort is worth all that time and gas. :D But I do appreciate your kind offer. It would be wonderful to meet you if nothing else. Maybe some time in future, we can still do that.

As for anyone who has already sent me some money towards the chair, I am keeping a record of who has done this, and anyone else that does, and I will offer you all who do a super discount on a future headpaint in trade for your kind gestures. Least I can do.
Thanks so much guys. This means so much to me and my family. This is a real crunch for us all financially, and this falls on me, so I have to get it for her soon. We are very honored by your kindness.

I asked ma if she would let me take a thank you video of her in the chair when we can get it, and she said she would, so look for me to post that once it's bought and in her new place. She wanted to thank you all herself from the chair.

Thanks again all. You're really helping me out here.

$20.00 sent Les as I promised I would , hope you get the right chair.

I would send more but owe 4 japanese dudes cash on ebay ( dark knight :lol ).

Hope your Mum likes it ! :rock:rock
