Glad to see that things are taking an upward turn for you Les, no one should have to endure such hard times drawn out, particularly a kind soul like yourself, nice to see things balancing out a bit.

Thanks Sean.

Hey, to all out there with easy access to Movie Masters Batman figures, first soul who scores me a BB chase ghoul fig, gets a free headpaint! I can't find that one anywhere. Please help! Thanks. (I didn't even know those were out there until today....I miss a lot these days!)

Dang! Now I got to find TWO of them! :lol

PS Is your Joker head exempt from the offer?

Yes. Sorry, Too much work on a Ledger Joker for that exchange. But a standard head is not exempt. No extra beards and 5'Oclock shadow guys, just a straight up, regular guy headpaint. Han, Luke, etc.
I hope that still is a good deal or motivation for someone. :D

Of course that is still a good deal. I'm on the prowl. :D

Hi Les. I just sent you a Paypal payment to go towards your Mom's chair. I wanted to send you what I could. If you can use a little of it also for helping to ship what I am getting from you that'd be great. I sent you the last money I had in my Paypal. I wanted to be a part of the contribution for her chair. I'm sorry that things didn't work out with the chair from my in-laws here. I was willing to drive to meet you to give it to you for your Mom, but my in-laws need it here.

I'm very happy to see things are starting to get better for ya'll. :D

I hope I am in the group of SSF board members that will get one "regular" head repaint?

I also e-mailed you about all of this too Les. I look forward to seeing the video of your Mom sitting in her spiffy new chair!

VBR as always,

Mike Buckley

As always, thanks Mike. The regular headpaint was in trade only for a Batman Begins chase figure of the ghoul Batman that I cannot find. If you are the first to find it for me, that headpaint is your's!

As for the chair fund, I am hoping to offer a small discount to those that donated to the chair, in the way of some off the next headpaint they get from me, but I cannot afford to do that many headpaints all in total trade for free. Sorry. That full paint trade offer was only for the Batman figure. Sorry if I confused you with that.

But your kind gesture is VERY appreciated, and if you can't afford to do that, let me know. I don't want you using up all your paypal because of me! Do let me know.
I am grateful for your kindness whatever you do, even if it is just kind words and support, which you always have for me and others here.
Thanks Mike. You are a class fellow in my book. Proud of your new job as a cop also. That means you must be a special guy. I for one am very proud to call you friend. :rock

Glad we got the funds together Les,

Now everytime your ma relaxes she can think about the craziness over here on this board and how loved you both are by us.

Thanks for the discount Les, looking forward to Ma's new Chair Vid!

So... Mike's a Cop? Congrats Mike! Btw, I didn't do it. :lol

The most important law of customizing is that things take time... and that no matter how much you WANT to get someone's stuff done, sometimes Life hits you a bit too hard and messes up your whole system.

Waiting is part of customizing. It is unfortunate, but part of how this works.

amen to that! the best things come to those who wait. you wouldn't keep pushing and punching a constipated man in the stomach to make him ^^^^, right? same with customizers - let it come out in the natural flow of things. it will eventually. and when it does, it'll be a flood so huge and impressive you'll be taking lots of pictures and calling all your friends round to see.

:rotfl

Seriously though, that is very true. Besides, the waiting is just getting me more excited for my Heath Jokers!

Derek, to you and all others waiting so long on stuff from me, just know that I HATE the delays way more than you possibly can. I know that every head equals a headless figure somewhere, and due to that I feel pressure about it every single day. It never goes away until it is shipped and in the person's hands at long last.

Add to that, that 2008 has so far has been, without question, THE WORST YEAR I HAVE EXPERIENCED! I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I do plan on changes soon that will eliminate what has happened to delay my work this year. At least I can change that aspect of my life.

I make no apologies or excuses, just hope that you can understand that this has been an incredibly tough year for me to get any creative work done. I am trying though, and again, when you have it in hand, I hope that will be worth the wait.

And thanks you guys for the support. I know you know, I care. All of these are important to me. All of them. I don't halfway do anything, so it just takes time. Patience it seems comes hand in hand with what I do. Thanks for understanding that. This is ART, not a production line that I can do on strict schedules. I am not a factory, but one man with Life interruptions and delays that I cannot always forsee or forestall. Thanks for understanding that. But still, despite that, I promise it will all be worth the wait for each of you!

You too Derek.

Hang tight, won't be long now on all this! :rock

Side note:
Just got in my box of 24 packs of the new DARK KNIGHT collectible trading stickers (normal trading card size) with two inch figures, and have a lot of the cards/stickers (VERY COOL!) and two whole extra sets of the non-posable two inch figures. They consist of standing Batman, cape out Batman, kneeling Batman, Joker, Tumbler and Batpod. I will get a shot of them when I can, and anyone interested in a set can have them for pretty cheap. Look for pics soon. The cards are not bad. I collect Batman movie cards, and these look like all there is coming out, so I have started on them. The toys are just nice extras for completists. I'll even throw in a pack wrapper for each set.
Just passing the info on.
Pics to come.

Thanks MF. That's one set down, one to go.

Here they are:

They are small, and the Ledger is not too on, but it is a cool set. About like getting Cheerios boxes for those little figures...only these aren't as cute.

I'm amazed by the intricacy of the armor on Batman for such small figures. I think looking at that and the style of Joker, Joker falls under the downplay it for the kids marketing scheme. Thank the maker there are adult figures of Joker made from this movie, I can't imagine having only juvenile, unrepresentative stuff to get.
