Agreed.
You know though, for the time, McFarlane toys were so above and beyond what we were used to. I didn't have the knowledge of companies like Sideshow or Hot Toys, etc, so McFarlane was pretty great compared to a company like Toy Biz or someone.
I think there are quite a few people that could repeat the same story as you. I know I can...got 2 totes of McFarlane figures currently in my garage. MIB and I can't move them for even $.99 on Ebay.
I seem to have a very different story. I started my collection on Star Wars Micro machines, moved up to the Kenner/Hasbro line, roundabout 2001 I also started buying McFarlane figures but then they stopped making anything interesting. While still buying Star wars toys I started on Hot Toys and persist at both of those now. However last year NECA came out with a must-have T2 line and will continue that this year along with cool new Predator figures. So moving on to a high end has not stopped me going back down and buying low end by any means. I am loving those low-end figures still...as long as they're licences I'm interested in.
