This store (Nighthood Collectibles) has set their listing for ACG Tifa to Out of Stock. From a quick search I think they're the only ones to have stopped taking orders as of yet. I'm (probably unfairly) wary of claims from these stores that something is affecting all sellers, when Toys Wonderland was notorious for lying to people about figures not being released yet when they had, or that second waves were coming when they weren't.

sanctum toys also has their deluxe (tear/tearless) versions out of stock too, but standard is still available

If they'd just stop producing that "anatomically correct" crap that no one actually really needs anyway there might be a bit less backlash from the licence holders... and it would probably also reduce the production costs as well - and with that the prices customers have to pay...

Disagree Square-Enix have always been greedy Bastaŕds and totally ok releasing lackluster products while strangling the IP and fans desire for better products.

Guys, apparently this ‘takedown order’ may not be legitimate. Some vendors are taking it down to be on the safe side.
But there are some well known vendors still taking orders because ACG said it’s fine.

Honestly, nothing much. I think the gist is to not sexualize the characters in figure/statue format and usually SE would close an eye to it. ACG's issue is because they are touting the extra bust as a early bird bonus and it's likely that you couldn't fit any clothes over it (her hands are hovering or pressing onto her the top breasts if you look at it closely), plus all the unnecessary feet details sooooooooooooo...

A lot of the statue's previously takedowns are heavily sexualized or just plain porn in statue format so there's already a precedence.

As it is, many or most Taobao shops have already taken down their listings to avoid any further scrutiny, though I guess you can still put in an order if you ask the individual shops, I think ACG has already gathered enough orders at this point to do a run.

You should see the chat a week ago, there were people lamenting that the bust is not included internationally. I'm lucky to get the early bird in because I have a feeling that SE might act on it and the rest of the orders are cancelled. Basically an all or nothing for me.

I think by now we should have already seen this coming, any nudity or sexualizing of the characters = SE strikes.

I'm surprised all the life-size dolls manage to slip by. Regarding the bonus bust, while I wouldn't display it, it would still have been nice to get because you could probably sell it for half the cost of the figure, if not more.

Can't complain though, I just hope we can all get our orders.

The life size dolls (I think more like 1/3 or 1/2 scale) were sent in parts which is why they managed to avoid the strikes. If I recall the head and body were sent separately, then the clothes later, etc. In their solicitation orders they also did not tout their realistic nipples and vag structure as the selling point so there's that too.

The caveat still stands, don't order ACG figures from unfamiliar sources because it is not guaranteed now.

If the final paragraph is at all referring to me, then I wasn't lamenting that the bust wasn't included overseas because it's a bust, I was lamenting that people (not me, because I chose to wait for GT anyway), ordered without knowing about it, when those people may have wanted it (which is fair enuf, actually) and when it may have ended up worth something on the aftermarket, which it may still. And when perhaps it could've been clothed (your own suggestion at the time.) Also, really, since you post here all the time full of wisdom, and had already ordered on Taobao, you presumably had ample opportunity to have posted about it here first yourself for people who can (again not me) order on Taobao, but didn't, but bought one for yourself - so who are you to be critical of others wishing they'd done it the same way? lol. There was also some suggestion that those orders may come earlier than the rest, though unverified. But if that were true, even more reason to want that version and pay full up front. EDIT: and yes now you may lose your money but on the other hand may end up one of the only few people to own one whatsoever

Of course the first batch rumour was another unverified rumour because there was so much confusion around the release in general - which is something I was also frustrated about. A lot of people were confused about several aspects, and I dunno why it has to be that way right when it drops.

Let's be clear on one thing, I have and did help people to obtain things from Taobao where I can, run through the thread and look it up on the Arms Set. I almost even got burnt by the experience because of late payment. If I can share the Taobao shop link, I would have done so. The fact that I didn't share meant that I was not in the position to do so because of the shop's instructions/preference.

And also yes, Early Birds get first dips, in fact they will get the second headsculpt and bust first before the rest of the figure. Why was it arranged that way I wouldn't know in terms of the drop but that's how ACG is positing their first figure release.

And I'm right to ask you to calm down because they did open up a pre-order for the body later, given that it's not just international collectors that's demanding for it. I have also advised those who wanted to get the body through me on the scalpers' market to wait because it's not worth the price too. A few of us are sharing these information and trying our best to help the international collectors so that the situation doesn't devolve into a scalper's free for all. At the same time it's tricky to also outright say they will open up a pre-order because it's still early stages and if GT decides not to, how do we deal with it?

But hey, it's good to be on the moral high ground amirite?

And no, I don't easily get whatever I want, I also lose out on some exclusivity/regional things, this is just part of collecting.
