They're incapable of producing great figures, so let the others do it!

Well, I received Sephiroth's Brings Arts earlier this week, and I've only just had time to unpack it.
And for the official stuff, it's really good! Expensive but good.

Glad to see these are still trickling out.

I pre-ordered them in batches with Hobby Genki, so I won't get Barret and Sephiroth until Red XIII is released as well. I wasn't super familiar with how their Private Warehouse function works. It seems like I should've placed individual orders for each one. They will combine them that way.

My problem was that by the time they had packed up my order of Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa, Barrett had been released as well. But because he was part of a different order, they wouldn't pull him out of that one, and ship it with the other three.

Oh well, live and learn. Still, I will probably have all of the Bring Arts before GT Tifa releases.

I really wanted Sephiroth, considering I'm building him a shrine and he's my favorite villain of all time.. But damn I couldn't justify myself getting him for the price he was and not having resting hair as an option too Very small gripe but dang that really matters to me.

Why should i or anyone else care what anyone wants to collect or display in their own four walls? How does this affect me in any way?
I'm not even a real collector, i have like four 1/6 figurines. But i dont give a f what you have in your collectors closet.
If you want to collect and display 100 naked Lara Crofts and 2Bs in your room, thats literally none of my business.

Lewd stuff is one of the biggest markets within this whole hobby category.
Talking about it like its some small dirty niche market makes no sense. Its 2024, not 1998. You can buy this stuff everywhere.

because group A thinks this product shouldnt exist. Thats ridiculous, especially if we are talking about the overall entertainment industry.
If you dont like a product, if you dont want to support a product, then simply dont buy it, dont watch it, move along
and enjoy the dozens of other choices you have.
If random groups of people would be allowed to have a say in what should exist and what not,
i'm sure a different group C would find something to hate that you like and then you would complain why they are allowed to be the judges too.

Oh yeah, I still remember that exchange and the replies that followed. I actually went and found the two posts, they're back on page 132 if anyone wants a chuckle.

He was a very brazen dude and came off grumpy at times but I'm sad he passed before the release.

We may butt heads at times and disagree about what looks best and what doesn't, but we're all here because we love figures.

Also crazy how much this thread has grown, and how damn long GT Tifa has been talked about, and we're still just going around in circles.

Will I look down on anyone buying overly sexualized ADULT characters? No. But when I see collections that feature CLEARLY underage characters engaged in some lewd ****…that’s when the red flags go up and makes one think “the feds should check this persons search history”.

A 1/3 scale silicone ‘sex doll’…I’m not about to dunk on anyone’s fetish…But IMO…it’s weird. But more power to whoever purchased it. Don’t let my little opinion detract anyone from enjoying it.

As a FF7 fan, I collect PA Kai, SE Adorable Arts, Gametoys (I have 5 GT clouds) I pre-ordered GT Tifa, ToysEra Aerith & recently ACG Tifa (Early Bird)

I even bought SGD Tifa (yes, me myself, a FEMALE collector) bought this doll as one of my favourite collections.. But it doesn't mean I'm a weirdo too. (I treat it as a giant Barbie doll, make different hairstyles, try DIY some clothes for her and it's really fun to play)

Actually I don't see there's a problem to have multi brand collections because they are all FF characters, and I love them equally.

The only thing I hate the most is seeing particular fans "To praise this brand by criticizing the others". To be honest, recently I saw lots of GT hardcore fans complains about ACG (not in here, but other China Chat groups like QQ / WeChat ).

And when there're news like ACG cancel orders (which the truth is ACG wants to control the quantity - to secure better production quality) but "some people" give out misleading info like "ACG close down the entire project and runaway with the deposits" OR "silly people who bought early birds with full payments are being screwed GYAHAHAHA (Heidegger's laugh) bla bla bla", and they even celebrated it happily.

I'm truly sad to see this , we are all FF fans, we collect FF figurines, I don't hope there's a war among us.

You should see the InArt vs Hot Toys thing... hooooooooooo boy.

I always thought having competition benefits the collectors because all companies have to up their game but sometimes it seems like one side just wants a crushing defeat so they can proclaim they are better.

Looking at my photos, I think mine has a problem.

The belt is not straight, but cornered.
I can't put it on straight, I don't even know if I can because it's under the clothes, and maybe even stuck to the bodysuit because it doesn't move at all...

In short, I'd like to hear from people who have Sephiroth, to see if it's the same for them, and if so, have you managed to put the belt back on properly?
I've looked at a few reviews on YT and each time the belt is straight when unpacked, which is why I think mine has a problem

I would ask for a replacement if you can't put it back into place
