My use of the cliche "10x (times) better". That's what you were pointing out, right?

Anyways, it doesn't matter.

I didn't know it was a cliche. I was just saying, any console that is modded is essentially better than the original. Did I say something wrong? Did I wave a knife in your face when I said it? The reaction is as if I punched your baby or something. :huh :lol

Shigeru Miyamoto checking out the rival handheld, not surprised that it doesn't print money like the DS.

Now I'm concerned! How would you know the reaction of punching someone's baby, unless you've actually punched a baby before (and witnessed the parent's reaction at first hand)? Is there something that you're not telling us, Plasmid? :lol

I've NEVER punched a baby that didn't deserve it! :lol

Anyway, just a misunderstanding I guess.

White PSP Go

this thing is so drool-worthy!:drool:drool:drool................I'm not liking the position of the analog, though!:(......oh, well..

It's so nice to go to a thread about the new PSP Go! and to find myself in the middle of a conversation about baby punching! :lol Ah, classic Sideshow Freaks behaviour.....good times!

I wasn't too keen on it from the pics, but the E3 3D presentation demo and see both Kaz and Yamauchi-san hold one, I've gotta say it looks very impressive. Plus @ 50% lighter and 40% smaller [is it the other way round?] than the original, it's also a huge step forward. Matter of fact I may just get one down the line, but I still love my GB Micro! :banana:banana

Also do you guys know how the older UMD games will be put on the PSP Go! ? No one seems to have mentioned that. Would these games be on the PSN for download? would they be made available on Memory stick?

The PSN download option doesn't seem feasible as some of those games are around 1.8GB right? Isn't that a bit "tedious" to go through for a portable device? plus the 16GB space can't hold that many retail games...

any thoughts?

I don't see why not. The previous PSPs could play music. Hopefully the PSP Go has more music control features this time around (more equalizers, folder options, playlists, etc).

yeah, I'm not much of a gamer but I need music everyday!..plus lugging a psp around gets so old and tiring...at least this one is much more compact and lighter!:D

The PSP Go is almost here. It'll be out by the end of the month (or approx), and many gaming websites and publications are getting their units in today.

This is 1UP.com's unboxing video for the PSP Go. They (and other sites like Kotaku) aren't allowed to review the handheld yet, but they do give some impressions:

I'm actually thinking about getting a PSP Go. While, I have been happy with my PSP 1000, the main feature that it is missing is video output. I would love to have the chance to play my PSP games on my TV. Plus, the PSP Go looks really sleek and stylish, unlike the big clunker, that is my original PSP.

No, the PSP Go will not replace the PSP 3000 in any way, as both systems will be sold side-by-side. UMDs will still be retailed, however, PSP Go users will have to download their content via the Playstation Network - that's all..

are you trying to say the PSP will not be discontinued!?...PSP Go being a different line by Sony!?...sounds cool. A bit like the Apple strategy but still cool, I guess...

Ok, but what if you trade in your PSP 3000 for a Go. How do you play your old games?? Or is it just a "sucks to be you" situation? I wouldn't mind trading in my PSP 2000 and getting one of these if there was a way to play the old games I have without having to buy them again on PSN.

Yep, the PSP 3000, as well as older PSP models, are not going to be discontinued. Essentially, Sony will have two PSPs selling in the market. Those who like their UMDs will go for the PSP 3000, and those who want everything in digital format will venture to the PSP Go.
