as for work, where do you work? sorry to hear about your troubles there. glad to know that you are leaving soon. my fiancée just recently quit her job and she is sooooooo much happier!

I am glad to hear that about your fiancée. I work for a swing set company. Have been with the company for almost 9 years now. I am the bookkeeper for the whole company, have to do all the financial statements, sell full time on top of that, process every invoice from all the stores, all the dealers, they make me clean this 8000 sq' store all for a miserable $100/day. Thn I also have to drive an hour and a half each way and only get 2 gas allowances per week so that does not even cover my mileage. 4 years ago my boss gave me shares in the company so that his daughter could not kick me out after he passes away. Well... for 4 years... every year when we close the store in the winter, I have to go on unemployment. Which is fine... but every year when I go to my aunt in Miami, they call me, blackmail me saying that I am an owner (read stockholder) have to work for free while on unemployment. Last year I got a 33% pay cut (to save the business) so all the stockholders should have taken an equal pay cut... guess what... me with my smallest amount of shares got the biggest pay cut. My bosses son in law did not even take one to "save the business". Then this winter, worked for free again 4 days a week, they told me I had to put $4000 in the business and when I told them NO, since I already got a sky high pay cut, they took my shares away. So basically I really worked for nothing. Then they promised me a raise if I would work at this location because I brought the other store up 100K in revenue last year... guess what... am 1.5 from home... no raise... even a cut in commissions and also now they are going to take a bigger cut in my medical insurance. And then my bosses daughter keeps stealing sales from me and they change the rules to whatever they like. I cannot wait to get out of here after the baby is born. I want my three weeks paid vacation for maternity leave. I have worked my a$$ off for this company. Can you ever been more taken advantage off? It is insane.

That is exactly what I am hoping for. That is why I keep quiet until our little baby is born... take my vacation and then hasta la vista baby. I actually just sent out my resume to a recruter in North Carolina. I am waiting for him to call me back as he was not in the office when I called him yesterday. I will try to find a job from a distance and then relocate to where George's family is. A new beginning. I love my job itself... just not the way the people treat me. Was just talking to my colleague who they put in my store from last year and he says that he cannot afford working here either... cost him $600 in gas money just to drive to the store for one month.

Today I start week 35 of my pregnancy... so 5 more weeks to go. I still cannot believe it. Darth Critter's kicks are getting stronger and my whole belly moves and it looks like there is an alien in my belly that wants to come out. Hehe. But it is the best feeling ever.

According to the doctor I am doing great but he is a big baby. I only gained 16 pounds so far so that was really excellent, but the belly should measure around 33 cm and mine is 35 cm. Yes I swallowed a beach ball. Pure baby. I can handle a long baby as long as he is not as wide as he is long hahaha. But on every ultrasound we had taken they said he has very long legs.

I washed all the 0-3 months baby clothes that I have and we have been working on getting the baby room ready. It will go by so quickly now. I still cannot believe it.

I have been trying to upload some pictures but it keeps telling me upload fails. If the file is too big it usually tells me too big but I keep getting failed. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Im so happy everything is going so well for you Nessa, I got your email and it is all amazing, you've not got long now. Your baby is very blessed being born to such wonderful parents, it certainly sounds like your getting prepared, I hope the baby likes the 7 Dwarfs
Plus im so pleased you're getting a bit more time off from that horrible place of work, soon you'll be able to leave and never look back.

Sweet Shell I am sure he will love love love them.

I cannot wait to get out of here either. I do not know how they will survive as I have not sold anything... neither did any of our other stores and we owe bigtime money. Oh well... not my problem.

So now for the update on our little critter.

OMG OMG OMG OMG... we just came back from the doctor for our last ultrasound. Everything looks great. His leg bones are soooooooooooo long. So I also asked the tech if she could tell me how much he weighed so far. You have to remember I am in week 35... week 36 starts on Wednesday. She told me to wait a few minutes after my appointment and she would let me know. So George and I are waiting. She comes back and tells us... he is approximately 7.2 pounds so far I said WHAT... I am still in shock. He does not look fat at all... just one big baby. With 5 weeks to go at normally 0.5 pounds that he will gain per week till the end... OMG... how am I going to push this critter out.

George is as proud as can be... that is my big boy...

One of my best friends in Belgium just had her baby girl on the 7th and she weighs less than Nathan is right now. lol Her water broke in the supermarket. Go figure she said lol.

Our initial due date was August 21st.
Our c-section was scheduled for August 16th.
And little Sammy decided to join us on July 22nd.
She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Everyone is in great health aqnd we are finally home.

CONGRATULATIONS. We are soooooooooo happy for you. So did your wife had to have a C-section on Tuesday too or did Sammy come out on her own. That is such great news. You will have to post pictures ASAP. Am dying to see this beautiful little girl.

According to the doc for me my cervix is still closed and Nathan has not dropped at all. He can stay in there a while longer. I am starting to have more Braxton Hicks contractions and boy do they hurt.

How long was your wife's labor? Did everything go ok? I am really happy for you guys.

Latest update on Darth Critter. I am now in week 39 and with his due date of August 19 rapidly approaching... it is becoming a serious waiting game. Friends and family are giving me a prediction due date since I made him a little calendar with his due date predictions on there. Will be a nice keepsake.

I went to the doctor last Wednesday and I have been on a weekly schedule. I was happy that my own OBGYN was back from vacation. I did not like the other two doctors that much. They are nice women but I do not want them to deliver my baby. lol. I told him I want Nathan to come out after tax free weekend because sales at work have been sooooooooooo bad and usually that is a good weekend for sales. Dr. Travias told me... I do not want him to wait that long since I do not want to deliver a toddler. Ouch. Yep he is still a big boy according to them. My belly measured 40cm and normal is around 38 cm at this point. I just hope he is long and not fat hahaha. Long I can push out... wide and fat is something else . But he reassured me about not having a c-section unless it is an emergency. (The female doc was trying to tell me that I needed one because he is so big).

But in the meantime I have 1.5 cm opening and my cervix has thinned out to about 75%. So who knows when our little critter will come out. He has also dropped since this week so now I have to find more bathrooms even more often. It is brutal. Especially since I am still working and still have that 1.5 hour commute each day.

That is the latest news. Either by next week another update or maybe the announcement that the first Sideshowcollector Freaks baby, thanks again Dave and Sideshow, will have been born.

Yes... I am in week 40 and our little critter is still nice and cozy swimming around and poking me from the inside. I went to the doctor yesterday and now have 2 cm opening and the cervix has thinned out to 75-80%. The heartbeat was 146 beats per minute so that was all good. The doctor told me it is basically a waiting game until my contractions start coming. Which could be any day now or until after my due date. One thing is for sure... my doctor will not let me go further than one week after my due date so with 5 days to go until the due date in 12 days maximum we will have a little baby freak in our arms.

I am starting to get very nervous. Probably because this is our first baby and I do not know what to expect with the labor. I cannot believe how quickly it has gone by.

Both our families and my friends are getting really anxious. I think I am even more hahaha.

I am starting to get very nervous. Probably because this is our first baby and I do not know what to expect with the labor. I cannot believe how quickly it has gone by.

My wife made herself sick by worrying about giving birth in the last few weeks of her pregancy and then she ended up having an emergency C-section. The baby's heartbeat was off, my wife's amniotic (sp?) fluid was really low and the baby refused to drop so they didn't have time to induce her. It all came so quick... You'll do great! They always say the first is the hardest becasue you don't know what to expect... Good luck!

just be ready..... when we had our critter, my wife's water broke overnight and the baby hadnt dropped at all and she was having no contractions..... and I think she had been stuck at 2cm for a couple weeks at that poin t.....

... hang on .. enjoy the ride .....

.... aand she came out 2 weeks early ..... so youre already past our delivery time ....
