Flex pay changed, pick the day and how many months

If your wait list converts can't you just go to your account and start to cancel the item then when the "would you like to change this to flex-pay" option shows up pick it?

Sometimes SSC rejects FP option when your item converts on WL. Now I don't know if this will change because NRD comes into play, but it would suck the big one if it did.

Wonder if SSC Rep can confirm why the change?

People are having flex orders charged and shipped minutes after they place the order.

I tested this out myself on the destroyer maquette since I was planning to order it anyway. I chose the flex option and 30 minutes later I get an email saying my order has been charged and shipped...WTF?

It's not a big deal since I wanted it shipped right away anyway. But to the people placing flex orders and then getting the surprise it's been charged in full without their concent could be pretty upsetting.

Glitch in the system or anxiousness SS?

Glitch probably. All newly rolled out IT systems come with teething problems. They will iron out the kinks eventually.

Not easy to do when you get the notice and within a day its charged and shipped. Usually they are accommodating but I don't check my email every few hours of every day.

I hope its just a glitch as I do enjoy taking advantage of flex pay every now and again.

There's something wonky with SSC FP system. My Lara Croft PF is now showing regular. SSC better not screwup this because I already paid 2 payments already. I'll need to call SSC tomorrow.

Ya, i think they need to make a anounment about what going on, and what in the work to fix the issue. I am having the same issue as VS on past FP, but recent are ok.

I have two items on order and I placed the orders with the flexpay option a couple months back but now I see that they are not flexpay anymore but regular, what is going on?

Same for me, all my orders on flexpay are now regular orders.

I would call them myself today to find out why my item was charged in full but I have a feeling they will be swamped with calls so I may wait a day or 2 since my item was already shipped I don't think there is much they can do about it.

Not speaking for MR Regan, but some people are just bad at saving money.

I think that Flex-Pay for pre-orders is essentially doing what devil suggests--it forces you to set aside a portion of your earnings as savings for collectibles every month or 2 months or whatever. For in-stock items, it can serve the same purpose, but has the extra benefit of allowing folks to buy now and pay later--so, the layaway type option. I've never liked the idea of doing that, but can understand it if you just aren't able to save money on your own very well, or in those rare cases where the surprise item pops up in-stock without warning and you haven't prepared financially, but want to order before something sells out. I would rather just buy when and what I can afford at time X. Feels like one step away from buying on credit.
