re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

hey guys thought I'd check this out I'm new to star wars area, but been working on my ANH stuff thought id stop by.

Today i just picked up fabric perfect for old ben, who would think gauze would look like linen but not so damn stiff like linen.

I decided to go with the color parchement for luke's tunic it's darker than id like but it looks kinda aged.

i was excited to get R2 today never owned the kenner 12" line but picked up R2 and hoth leia (for costume). I thought nylon for winter gear was used for her costume not satin?

anywho i love these arms for R2. he will be my stand in untill a better r2 comes along. I don't want just lights and sounds :(. I think i might be the only one discontent with this everyone raves about the medicom and the clock thats out there.

I'm officially crazy. ;)

Nostromo Day has been set! December 4, 2013

5 hours to The Prop Store
1 hour visiting the Nostomo and other items in the office
(or until they kick me out for touching the Nostomo)
1.5 hours back across L.A. to IKEA
1 hour at IKEA
30 minutes to the Frank & Sons Collectible Show

3 hours shopping for retro carts, and maybe a toy or two
4 hours to drive back home

16 hours door to door, give or take. :panic:

But, it's the ****ing Nostromo! :panic: :panic:

I think these two are under-estimated...

FLOSI, I hate you for posting Gus's pictures. I went to his homepage, and am drooling at his pictures. I should quit collecting now, because I will never have a collection like Gus or Steve. I want this in my collection. Its the rehearsal puppet used in ESB. The only thing better would be the actual Yoda puppet. Secret Santa, please get it for me. :monkey1

Nah, I only need an hour at IKEA, I'll shop online ahead of time, and it's really just a time killer until the collectible show opens at three...

And it really is a short jaunt to the show from IKEA. :D

Sounds like
the ultimate nerdcation. I wish I could go!

 *grabs the lube* :D

Yes!!! I'm ordering this, thanks for the heads up.

Dang, lot of good deals at Walmart.com now. Disney infinity starter kits are $37! Wish I had waited. Of course now I don;t even play the game! :lol

I almost caved on an Infinity set but stopped myself because I know I'd want all the figures and $12 each ain't cheap.

By the end of this two week period, I should be at 116 hours.

Damn son! That's some Bank right there. I just put in two 48 weeks and was hoping to get some more OT this week but haven't had luck. Probably for the best because this week coming up is another long week on top of the holiday and other stuff we have planned.

I don't compare the two. I judge every Batman story on its own terms. My dislike of the Burton films is in no way a consequence of my love for Nolan's (and the other way too). I also don't compare film to comic. Essential premises, yes. If it's not Batman, then it's not Batman. But I don't expect a comic experience from a film, any more than I'd expect a Nolan experience from Burton.

Ok, I see what you're saying now. I thought you guys were comparing the two.

Two 90 minutes and now a Double Jack. Wookie!!!!!

I'm going to forget that you spelt Wookiee wrong and blame it on the booze. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Beer run has to wait until tomorrow. :(
I bought one of these yesterday. I'll probably drink it later this weekend.

Hmmm...was it spicy? I don't really like spicy holiday beers.

Belvedere. :lecture

Streaks on the china! :joy

Bear Republic - Racer X & Big Bear Black Stout (or just plain ol' Racer 5)
Deschutes - The Abyss & Chasin Freshies
Sierra Nevada - Northern Hemisphere
Lagunitas - Little Sumpin'

I've been meaning to try those Racers. Lots of Sierra here but haven't seen that one. Little Sumpin' is pretty good but my fav Lagunitas is still Wilco Tango Foxtrot (found a place that still has some!). Going to have to look into Deschutes and Big Bear.

I'm officially crazy. ;)

Two 90 minutes and now a Double Jack. Wookie!!!!!

Is Wookiee an exclamation now? Because I vote yes.

12%? May need to look this one up. Liking the rye beers.

Whenever I hear the word rye I think of this scene from a video game...

First post on my new ASUS laptop. No more iPad crashes for me. :yess:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I had that Merry Mischief last year. Gingerbread stout, right? I dug it.

I think I might have quit drinking this morning. Ugh. I puked so hard I saw little black swimmy spots in front of my eyes. Didn't black out, but it was unnerving. I didn't even drink that much. I'm just old.

That said, the thought of gingerbread stout is making my mouth water.
