Yeah, their fluctuating prices are stupid. Sometimes it works to your advantage, but many times it does not...

I rarely use them cause I'm never sure if I am going to be getting a new or used item. I've heard people buying figures new and getting them and they have obviously been open before.

6% off at the Lego store, not too shabby!

Yep, I can attest to that! In fact, once the item was VERY broken, and all the broken pieces were just shoved in the box. Hastings apparently accepted a return, and never checked it. And once a friend of mine bought a doll, and the doll was MISSING! All of the accessories were in the box, but no doll!

They've sent me the wrong thing a couple times as well. They were my only hope at getting a Mark VII at a decent price, though. Looks like it might not pan out.

Here's how I read this:

Hey FLOSI this set looks like it may be worth it for the figs alone... at least for me... LOL. Soo bad I don't care for the plane.

In fairness, I think it was a figure of some hot chick, so he probably intended it as a sex doll! :lecture

I thought Secret Santa was where we all buy something and randomly exchange them. :dunno

Ooh. Thanks Waller. Some pretty good deals there. The best thing is the little chibi figure set. I paid $25 for it at Toys R Us back in September. I'm temted to get the funky urban vinyl style Godzilla and Mechagodzilla. They might make good desk ornaments.

That reminds me. I've gotta unbox and take pics of the new Godzilla figures I got last week. They look pretty sweet.

haha no, we get everyone that's interested, then those people send a list of themes they collect, things they might want, shirt size, game systems they have, etc. to give the buyer an idea of things to send them, along with their addy to JJJ.

Once JJJ has all the lists and addresses, he mixes them up and sends them out... usually drawn like a #1 sends to #2, #2 sends to #3, #3 sends to #1 (if there were only 3 people).

Once you get your list of who you are buying for what they collect, you can buy stuff that's on the list or related and toss in extra goodies and then mail it off to the address you received with the list.
