re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I have Rex, but I'm skipping Ray.

I have Rex too. I'll probably skip Ray as well unless I can find a good enough deal on it. I have the McF Ray figure, so that can hold me over, although it's obviously smaller.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Happy 10 year anny, Josh! That amazes me...

Thank ya. :duff It is a long time for sure. I've been lucky to make some really good friends from here, which makes up for a decades worth of trolls.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

18" of snow and work is still open for me. Damn Illinois.

Wtf!?!? Ok then I won't whine about having to go out and shovel here.

Lucky. My company never closes. And even if it did, my department would probably be an exception. I work in Support, so we can't close.
...

I'm in the same boat, we are 24/7/365. We even stayed open during Sandy. A few guys stayed and worked a week straight off of generators.

Thankfully it's my weekend so I don't have to travel otherwise if be coming home in the aftermath of this storm.

I sold a large lot of Minifigs thinking I could get a decent amount in return.... Bad idea. :(

D'oh! How bad of a hit did you take? I personally hate selling lots of anything.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

But ... but... why !!!!!?????!!!!

I used to have a couple dozen on my desk at work. I took them all home and they just sat in a box.... No clue why I sold them. Bad choice.

I think he's in MGS2 & MGS4?

I was never a big MSG guy till 4 came out. I still think that might be the best release ever for PS3, though I do love Fallout 3 and the Uncharted games too.

I think I got around 2.50 per fig. :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I think Metal Gear Solid 1 for the original Playstation is my favorite of the series.

I've got a ton of DC Universe Classics I want to unload, lots of full build-a-figures and rare releases, but I don't know how much I'd get for the lot. Probably not that much.

The BAFs would be good to sell on their own I would think.

I'm organizing my MP3s and came across this classic track from the 80s. Trans-X. :rock

For C2E2, got a rate of $77/ night for Friday and Saturday via Hotwire. Total came to about $195 for 2 nights after taxes. Also used Mr Rebates for a 2% cashback.

Just a heads up in case you guys want to book a room. Looks like it just bumped up to $79 a night.
I can give you some details on how to make sure you get the correct hotel, since they don't give you specific hotel names. We have a way to know which hotel is the South Loop Hotel.

I got a tablet this Christmas and started drawing again, thanks to Thom & Rich for the inspiration to get back into it.

Hey, Nick! How was your Christmas? Did the boys get properly spoiled? :lol Really cool stuff!! Keep it up, man!! The more you do the more it will start to come back to you. You'll start working quicker too. :hi5:

I want to go buy myself all the grey Prisma Color markers and try out some new techniques sometime soon.

NICE! :clap

Clayface is my favorite. My LCS has a BTAS Clayface on the card that I keep picking up. :lol

I have the Bamboo tablet but I just couldn't get into it. Any tips?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I need to get a tablet for drawing. I think it would speed me up quite a bit, and would love to try colors on it. Good looking stuff Deak!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Which head? :monkey1 Happy anny! Which movies?

My big one. Thanks. If the nearby theater has PA, I'm gonna go to that. It's gotta be walking distance...

Sucks we taught Ken to multi, because it's harder for me to quote him now. :lol

Yeah I think we got them too much ****, they were in shock! My oldest got the Vintage TRUs X-Wing, Black 6" Boba, TMNT, Lego sets, and Metroplex. The little one got a bunch of Hulk and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys. Did Gabe get everything he wanted?

NICE! :clap

Yeah, Google the settings for your tablet and crank up the sensitivity. That way it feels more like a brush/pen. There is a slight learning curve but just trying practicing drawing simple shapes and go from there. just have fun with it.

Thanks duder, you can get a decent one for under 200. I went with a medium sized tablet because I wanted a bigger surface. Man hands and all.

The wife and I were looking at some Waccom tablets earlier this year. I think if we get one we are going to go all out on one. We could both use it. But maybe a smaller one to start might be best to see if we'd like it first. Which did you do the drawings above on?
