re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."
Oh, wow! Believe me, I know what you mean! I am selling at a show on Feb 2 for the very first time. I need to start preparing for it. But I wouldn't have the time or space to sell even 10% of what I own! I am trying to narrow my collection down to what I care about the most. Anything that doesn't fit in those areas must go. I'm sure that I should sell more, and eventually I probably will, but for now, I need to get rid of toys lines that I never should have bought. For instance, horror figures. I LOVE horror, and the figures are awesome, but it isn't my main focus, or even in my top 5 focuses. I plan on keeping the Freddy and Jason PF's I own (for now, at least) but the figures must go. And Austin Powers figures. Why did I buy those? Duplicate SW stuff that I never should have bought, tons of DVD's and BD's, and much much more.
Keep in mind that when you sell at shows, you won't get top dollar. But at least there's no Ebay fees. Still, you may want to hold back on rare items, or at least be aware of what they go for on Ebay, so you can try to get at least 90% of their Ebay value. That's my plan, anyway.
Very cool. So, is there payment involved, or just that you get some sketches back to re-sell as you please? I'm so stoked for you! If I had any skills, I'd even be jealous! Alas, I have ZERO skills! But I'll still live vicariously through you!Guys, here's some info on the card set I'll be working on:

Very cool that you can do that. Yaay Sideshow! For the first time I've had to delay my shipment, we're getting a storm shelter installed at the end of the week and that with the holidays zapped my account But luckily it was no problem to shift to a flex pay and have the first payment in February. I'll just pay it in full at the first of the month.
Congrats Flosi! I knew you could do it! Very, very proud of you.
You guys have some interesting choices for your 10 things. The reason I was asking is because I've come to crossroads in my life where I need to decide if I own stuff or stuff is owning me. As I've stated before, my collection is forever in boxes and I just keep buying things that get packed away and it's frustrating as well as space consuming. I have a Toy Show coming up in a few weeks and I'm really considering letting almost all of it go. If so then I've decided to keep 5-10 specific things that I truly cherish and define my passions.
