Very cool. So, is there payment involved, or just that you get some sketches back to re-sell as you please? I'm so stoked for you! If I had any skills, I'd even be jealous! Alas, I have ZERO skills! But I'll still live vicariously through you! :lol
For the first time I've had to delay my shipment, we're getting a storm shelter installed at the end of the week and that with the holidays zapped my account :lol But luckily it was no problem to shift to a flex pay and have the first payment in February. I'll just pay it in full at the first of the month.
Very cool that you can do that. Yaay Sideshow!
Congrats Flosi! I knew you could do it! Very, very proud of you. :)

You guys have some interesting choices for your 10 things. The reason I was asking is because I've come to crossroads in my life where I need to decide if I own stuff or stuff is owning me. As I've stated before, my collection is forever in boxes and I just keep buying things that get packed away and it's frustrating as well as space consuming. I have a Toy Show coming up in a few weeks and I'm really considering letting almost all of it go. If so then I've decided to keep 5-10 specific things that I truly cherish and define my passions.

Oh, wow! Believe me, I know what you mean! I am selling at a show on Feb 2 for the very first time. I need to start preparing for it. But I wouldn't have the time or space to sell even 10% of what I own! I am trying to narrow my collection down to what I care about the most. Anything that doesn't fit in those areas must go. I'm sure that I should sell more, and eventually I probably will, but for now, I need to get rid of toys lines that I never should have bought. For instance, horror figures. I LOVE horror, and the figures are awesome, but it isn't my main focus, or even in my top 5 focuses. I plan on keeping the Freddy and Jason PF's I own (for now, at least) but the figures must go. And Austin Powers figures. Why did I buy those? :lol Duplicate SW stuff that I never should have bought, tons of DVD's and BD's, and much much more.

Keep in mind that when you sell at shows, you won't get top dollar. But at least there's no Ebay fees. Still, you may want to hold back on rare items, or at least be aware of what they go for on Ebay, so you can try to get at least 90% of their Ebay value. That's my plan, anyway.

Yeah, I tried to do it with the Cobra Commander as well... but I guess they reached the limit on Flex Pays for him. Wasn't aware they had a limit on how many they did for each piece, but I can swing him, but not both w/in the same week :lol

Good advice... seems that shows are good for moving a lot of stuff, but not really making a lot off of them. eBay is still the best bet for getting top dollar on an item, even after you pay the fees.

Tis true, unfortunately...

You are going to tear these up. Interesting that the border reduces the sketch are though.

So the cards I get will not have the border on them when I draw them. They put that on after, like those game worn jersey cards.

Congrats Flosi! I knew you could do it! Very, very proud of you. :)

Thank you, T!!! :rock

Wait.........
You did not send your best ?

I might do one for the set. :D

It's all OT too!! Which is super fawking SWEET!!!!!!!!!

I hate that the sketch area is small, but maybe Flosi's used to working with small things. :monkey3

So no Ewok Village? :lol

I congratulate you if you go this route. I feel pretty good about not having a whole lot of collectibles. I still have a few more to move, but I'll have a decent setup once I'm there. I finally came up with my list:

1. Kenner figure collection
2. eFX McQuarrie Vader
3. eFX Legend Vader
4. SW style A poster (1st print)
5. Flosi-fied Sideshow Vader figure
6. Sideshow 1:1 Vader bust
7. GG McQuarrie minibust collection

Yup. No one can work with small objects like me... Years of

HEY!!! WTF!!

1.50 a sketch. They send back what they don't use so I can give them away and sell them. :) They will return a few back to me all fully chromed out too.

Just seeing if you're paying attention. We saw your package when you first showed the Obi-Wan drawing for ROW, so we all know that's not true. :lol

Been at a similar spot for some time myself, and have already started "the great purge". :lol

At some point, you look around and say "do I really need all this sheet?". Life is too short, so for me it's about spending time and money on those in need, or on experiences with friends and family. I've basically given up on all collectibles (Sideshow sadly was first otd). I buy the occasional SW comic, but everything else is being prepped for ebay....LEGO, SW prints, Hallmark, Coca Cola...all going bye bye, with the exception of some LEGO sets for my kid (from Uncle Chien :lol).

It's a big reason I don't hang here as much, but I'm gonna try and change that for 2014. I miss my friends...sheet collectors or not. :lol

That's cool. Yeah, $1.50/sketch isn't very good, but you gotta start somewhere! Even if it was free, I'm sure you'd do it to get your foot in the door! How many sketches do you have to do?

Let me know what Hallmark ornaments you have for sale. :wave

And please come in here more often. I'd live here even if I stopped collecting tomorrow. :lecture

That sucks. I'd ask you for a list of what you are purging, but I'm afraid I'll want it all and buy things that I shouldn't. I never browse Ebay any more. I go there with a purpose, looking for specific items. But if I browse, I'll buy sheet I didn't even know existed. I'm better off not knowing!

Oh, but if you have any Yoda items you're selling, LMK!!! Those I may want! :lecture

Ok will do!

Yeah, I'm still trying to manage work and life, too. Daytrading and managing our IRAs takes a sheet load of time.

Will do!!!

Not sure I can post a list here...I may just PM people prior to posting on ebay. If anyone else has interest in the list or anything specific...let me know. I should have the list complete soon.

100 or 200. :panic:

:lol:lol:lol

When I thought you should get a portfolio ready, I sure didn't think 200. Wowza! :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yup.... I'm going to do 100. 200 is too much to have ready by the deadline.

**** me sideways... that's insane. I assume these really are sketches then and not full blown drawings like you've been doing recently?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Just wanted to say Flosi...if anyone can do eeeeeet....you can! :clap

I will go at it with the ones I'm digging and not so much with ones that are turning out only okay, if that makes sense. :lol

Thank you, Gibby!!! :rock
