This girl I've been talking to at work hasn't ever seen Star Wars. She's a nerd hater too. Might have to cut my losses.

Not sure but I have learned this to kill the deal for me. So much of my love evolves around the pop culture and nerd world, I would never enter into a relationship that starts like that.

It's too much to overcome.

I also find that my friends that are both geeks at heart are so happy it's insane. I am super jealous of them. I would rather you find yourself a hot geek girl than just some hot girl.

That is true my friend. Like the Mike and his wife. Oh my god I love them to death, and they are both so nerdy yet cool! :rotfl:rotfl

Exactly ! :hi5:

It's not too late for many of my brothers. I would love to see you be happy as you deserve with someone of like mind.

And there are hot regular geek girls out there. They don't all have to be uber hot cosplay girls.

Agreed. Find someone that shares your passion. :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Got MOS last week for 13 bucks at Target as well as The Wolverine from Avfin for my SS gift... I'm half way through Wolverine and have yet to open Superman. :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My wife isn't one to watch what I watch... Kinda sucks.

I got lucky with mine... she enjoys most of what I watch, not necessarily to the same extent but definitely has a strong geek side to her just not as expressive about it.

Walking Dead and Game of Throne are 2 of her favorite current series so no complaints there.

Or someone who is willing to learn and appreciate your passions. :exactly:

Does that work? :wink1:

My wife isn't one to watch what I watch... Kinda sucks.

:lecture

Yeah I know the feeling. :1-1:

:lecture again.

Yeap ... I really feel you. It sucks cause it means I have to watch alone, but I barely have alone time... And when I do a lot of times I am dead tired.

My wife hates almost everything I love. It sucks... :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Just got done shoveling the driveway... ugh. I laugh at Waller's pic of 3" of snow... ours was more like 9"-11" on the driveway.
Not a fan.

Damn. No offense, but it sounds doomed...

Big Bang Theory isn't really realistic.

I agree. Too much to overcome. Ben, I'm not saying you have to find a geek girl. But you have to find someone who at least accepts it. If she's a nerd hater, I think it's over.
Exactly ! :hi5:

I gave up on looking. The speed dating thing at CVI really sucked. Perhaps I'll do it at C2E2 since the girls will be more local. But it really really sucked at CVI. I don't remember if I told you guys about this. There was ONE girl who I really hit it off with. She was fantastic, and she was from SE WI (Racine or Kenosha, I forget which). After the speed dating, I waited around for her (which you are not supposed to do). After she exited, she went straight up to a dude, and they kissed. He was NOT in the speed dating. He was waiting for her. She already had a boyfriend! I think she was paid to be there! There were a few girls who walked in after the session had started, and she was one of them. I think they went out and rounded a few girls up and paid them.
