Also I was too busy to metaphorically expose myself to the girl I like at work today. Maybe tomorrow.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It was a super busy day at work and it super sucked, so I missed a lot.

I was finally able to unbox giant Godzilla last night and he's a sight to behold. I'll post pictures soon.
Rep for you, too! Thanks for your rep as well, but I'm not doing it just cuz you repped me. Your turn (ie, not in last 25) just came up... I look forward to seeing your Godzilla pics!!!

Another thing I forgot to mention. When she was talking about kid names she likes yesterday, she said her favorite name for a boy is Landen. I told her that Lando is a much better name. I think I kind of pissed her off. :yess:

Mind what you have learned... help you it can !

:lol:lol:lol I love it when a seldom used Star Wars quote is put to good use. It makes me happy.

Me, too! I was pissed about something once and my friend said, "Awwww, could not get your ship out!" I couldn't help but laugh.

Just gave candy to gibby and Thom... The rest of you were in my last 25...

Thank you! I've been spreading it around so I can get back to my favorite peeps!

Can't wait to see! I have Giant Monster All Out Attack in my Amazon cart but I am waiting to pull the trigger pending employment. :lol

From what I've seen amongst my friends, hate leads to rebound sex, rebound sex lead to kids, kids lead to marriage. Marriage leads to suffering.

I have tinnitus.

I'm surprised that I don't. From all of my years in bands and going to concerts in small clubs, I definitely have some hearing loss but no ringing.

The Topps cards arrived at my house today! :rock My wife is going to swing them by my office in a bit. Finally seems real.... Now on to the work.

Dude, that's awesome! I can't wait to see some! GL homie!

Good things are happening to Flosi and Eric. The rest of us, not so much. :lol

I went to the car repair place expecting major car repairs and only needed an oil change and tire rotation. Then I walk into an odd coin shop and found these vintage wax packs I needed for my collection for only $1 each:

And I took a nap so all in all, it was a good day off. :)

Bwahahahaha! :lol

So, the cards. They're tiny!!! Like Ken's wang tiny!! So they hit me with the cards, contract stuff, return shipping label and hologram stickers that I will need to autograph.

I'm going to start tonight... I'll take some pics of the box, etc soon!

Please be on the lookout for these if you are near the hot wheels aisle... I'm gonna need a few of them!

Daaaaaaamn... Just when I thought I was almost caught up with Hot Wheels. I'll need that and I'm still looking for the last few Retro cars too.

I haven't watched that movie in forever. But I do have a little story about it. I don't know how many of you used to log on to BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems), which is way before the internet started. I started on my Commodore 64 with a 300 baud modem. On one BBS, I was the mod of a sci-fi area, where I met would chat with people on boards similar to this forum. Some of us discovered we were local to each other, and planned a trip to see Dune in theater. This is back when it first came out in 1984. I was 13! A car pulls up with 5 people in it, which I squeezed in. They're all in their 20's, or even 30's. I felt so out of place. It was very awkward. There was another car, so there were like 12 of us total at first, but the cars dropped us off and left so only 10 of us saw the movie. Then after the movie, we walked to a local Denny's to use the pay phone, to call and get picked up. Nobody in the group had a car! It was bizarre. Needless to say, I never went out with those guys again...

Dude that's a crazy story and definitely something I wouldn't let my kids do today. I never saw Dune in the theatres. I think my last viewing was a vhs rental. My mom was a big scifi fan and I know she read the books so we watched it together.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I was up with an allergy attack and rewatched Dune for the first time in about 25 years. God, it was sooooo good. There's just something about the look and feel of 70's and 80's sci-fi that really gets to me.

I remember seeing Dune in the theater after school. It came out when I was in highschool. They gave out vocabulary sheets.

Wow, they're doing autograph holos for the artists now? That's cool stuff, man. And as to the size, they're the standard trading card size, right?

:rock what a sweet gig!

Thanks, guys! I am trying to keep spirits high and this helps. Last time I was unemployed was a nightmare but I learned from my failure at the cave. :lol

Just keep swimming! I still get a kick out of driving past the site of my last truly awful job experience, knowing I'm in a better place now and I'll never have to work there again.

It was a super busy day at work and it super sucked, so I missed a lot.

Congrats to you, Rich. I can't wait to see your cards. Hoping you do lots of aliens and Leia.

Congrats to you as well, VAsith. You seem to be an expert job interviewee.

I was finally able to unbox giant Godzilla last night and he's a sight to behold. I'll post pictures soon.

Maybe VASith should become a job interview consultant. Being good at that is no easy thing :)

One of the mom's at my kid's school just got a second puppy and called him Lando. The first one is called Chewie :lol

My son is named Landon. We call him Lando all the time although that wasn't the main intention in naming him that. :lol

Metaphorically exposing yourself seems like the kind of thing you make time for no?
