The Topps cards arrived at my house today! :rock My wife is going to swing them by my office in a bit. Finally seems real.... Now on to the work.

That's going to be awesome! So the sky's the limit as to what you can draw, so long as it's from ANH?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Wow, I hadn't been keeping up on this, but if I'm reading correctly, you'll be drawing ANH SW art for Topps cards, FLOSI? If so, that's quite an achievement! I've seen some of your drawings and they're great. Congratulations!

On another, unrelated, note, I sure am loving the new PM bar. Looks so much better, IMO. Seems less obtrusive to the thread.

Sweet! You should do a tribute to the freaks as one. Or sneak the word "cantina" in on some of the shading lines.

Good things are happening to Flosi and Eric. The rest of us, not so much. :lol

Nailed interview number 2. It's mine if I want it. Still have 3 more interviews to go...don't want to take something too soon.

Excellent news! Good luck with the rest!

What goes around comes around. Seeing my fellow Freaks doing well gives me hope!

So I've been banging off sick all week, sending out resumes and taking anxiety medication. :lol

Tomorrow will be my first day back to "work" since I found out I am getting canned. I'm hopeful that they will just pull the plug then instead of dragging it out (they are extremely short handed).

I did get a few bites on my resumes but only one is within reasonable commuting distance.

Keep getting them out there. Craigslist, monster, careerbuilder, glass floor. Cold call places you might want to work. Be a persistent bugger. :lecture

I was up with an allergy attack and rewatched Dune for the first time in about 25 years. God, it was sooooo good. There's just something about the look and feel of 70's and 80's sci-fi that really gets to me.
I haven't watched that movie in forever. But I do have a little story about it. I don't know how many of you used to log on to BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems), which is way before the internet started. I started on my Commodore 64 with a 300 baud modem. On one BBS, I was the mod of a sci-fi area, where I met would chat with people on boards similar to this forum. Some of us discovered we were local to each other, and planned a trip to see Dune in theater. This is back when it first came out in 1984. I was 13! A car pulls up with 5 people in it, which I squeezed in. They're all in their 20's, or even 30's. I felt so out of place. It was very awkward. There was another car, so there were like 12 of us total at first, but the cars dropped us off and left so only 10 of us saw the movie. Then after the movie, we walked to a local Denny's to use the pay phone, to call and get picked up. Nobody in the group had a car! It was bizarre. Needless to say, I never went out with those guys again...

So I have fluid in my "middle ear".... WTF!!! It aches and rings constantly.
Just take a hair dryer, hold it up to your ear, and turn it on high. The fluid should evaporate in no time! You might burn your ear-drum, ear, and possibly your brain though, but darn it the fluid will be gone!

Please be on the lookout for these if you are near the hot wheels aisle... I'm gonna need a few of them!

Ooh ooh, me too!!!

No clue, it's just a car in with the rest of the regular hot wheels like Herbie, Knight Rider, A-Team, etc. they've been doing over the last couple years. It's not a full Simpsons line. Although Johnny Lightning did some of those years ago...
I'm still looking for Herpes, I mean Herbie...

Here is a pic of the Johnny Lightning Simpsons cars FLOSI.

You aren't Premiere, so you can't have animated gifs! :thwak
