Seeing as how Christmas is right around the corner, what was everyone's favorite Star Wars gift (Christmas, Birthday, etc...) as a kid?

Mine would have to be Christmas 1978 when I scored The Death Star Playset.:yess:

Man, I got years and years out of that thing. It came in handy as a base for my GI Joes later on as well.:lol

it's a toss up between the death star playset & the troop transport.........both heaped in badassery.....but i suppose the size of the playset tips the scales towards favorite.

I never got any of the big, cool playsets as a kid... I think one of the more memorable Star Wars gifts I got was when my Aunt gave Vader's Tie Fighter. I was expecting clothes, so I was super thrilled to open the box and see some SW goodness! :)

Christmas 1979 - Sandcrawler/Droid Factory
Christmas 1980 - Dagobah
Chrsitmas 1983 - Jabba & Throne/Rebo Band

I never had a DeathStar, but Vader's TIE Fighter was my favorite ship. It was repaired many times (damn wings).

This was my favorite.

I am hoping that one day it can be again.

Yup! Looking back on stuff like The Death Star made me realize there were some benefits to being an only child.:lol

It's just so damn big! I really need to get the last 9 vintage figures for my collection sometime soon... I've only bought one figure during all of 2012, but around 60-70 in 2011... Time to get moving again.
