re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

i have actually thought about trying to recreate that playset in 1/6th scale. it has some simple but great lines in the design. the only real problem or toughest to recreate would be the gun.

it would be ****ing huge..................:lol

I think my favorite Christmas score for Star Wars was the Slave 1; was not expecting it at all so when I opened it up I was totally blown away :rock I also got the Rancor for Christmas which was the figure I wanted most.

I had Slave 1 - that was my favorite toy ship and still is my favorite Star Wars ship - period.:rock

I always wanted the Rancor.:(

Rancor has always been a favorite of mine... and one you can pick up now w/o spending too much $$$ on him.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I always wanted an AT-AT... :(

BTW, have you guys seen the BMF at TRU with the Vintage packaging? They want like 260 for it!

i picked up my BF AT-AT at kmart for $49..........no vintage packaging but too good a deal to pass up..........:lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I still need to track down the Kenner AT-AT. My AT-ST is lonely.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Did you guys in the US have a hard time picking up Ben Kenobi and Chewbacca figures around 1979-80 like we did in the UK?

It was just like Jingle All The Way, i remember my parents had friends looking out for those 2 for months before one christmas :lol:lol:lol

That's a great deal. I wish I could find one at that price.

I grabbed a BMF at Wal-Mart for 40... Can't wait to give it to my son! :yess:

I didn't know they still had the gigantic Millennium Falcon around other than the super expensive vintage package TRU version. I'd love to find a $40 Big Millennium Falcon.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

For my own collection I can't justify the cost or size of the new vehicles... but if I had a kid into them that would be a different story. I still plan to eventually pick up a vintage Kenner Falcon and a few other of the more significant vehicles.

On an unlrelated note I'm again close to completing my Graflex saber. The last one I bought was a bit rougher than I wanted so I've been patiently waiting (and losing out on a few auctions) in order to upgrade.

So once my new Graflex arrives the building will commence!!!

The new one:

So, with this new one my build price is now just under $300 instead of the $250 I'd hoped to keep it under. But as far as I'm aware all the pieces I'm using are as genuine as you can get. Also I was able to get $300 for my MR version; so I'm essentially breaking even on the switch over.

$197:Graflext 3 Cell
$70: Exactra 20
$15: T-Track
$5: D-Ring
$287: Total

:clap Damn, Joseph! That thing is pristine! Will you be logging your progress somewhere once you start the build? I'm really interested to see how this turns out.
