I got a kick out of the labeling. Both Han and Vader had signs that said they were from ANH... And of course I was a big enough ****** to point out that they were not.

Great pics! I wish something like that or something for The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings would come to KC.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Thanks for the pics, Flosi. That's definitely the same exhibit I saw. It was awesome seeing that stuff in person. Since the next Celebration is in CA, I wonder if Lucasfilm will pull anything out of the archives to put on display. I really hope so.

punk - I never said I wanted to eliminate friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Although you are correct. Strict Buddhism does push cutting off all attachments to attain enlightenment. Not really for the lay practitioner like myself attempting to survive in the real world outside of a monastery. And the thing is, that all these things I own don't really bring me that much joy. I get the usual jolt of satisfaction from the initial purchase and arrival of a new toy, but in the long run, it almost always wears off. And quickly at that. Anyway, there's no way I would cut off my friends, many of which I count you guys as. I feel blessed to have found this sanctuary from the madness.

We are like opposite sides of the same coin. ;)

What do you mean opposites?... I only own three things... One Toy Collection + One Comic Book Collection + One Statue collection = 3. :D
And yeah, we talked about all that at dinner that night. I'm glad you'd never leave your friends and loved ones behind, we would miss you. :) I'd just hate for you to give up stuff and regret it. Like you did with meat... 17 times. :lol haha j/k
If they don't bring you happiness, by all means let them go, but don't think you have to get rid of items 101 & 102 just to be at 100.
And ya know, I believe the Buddhist thing is to "give away" all your possessions... so I'll take your Hellboy PF. :D

This is what I hope as well. It was a highlight of C4 for me.

:lol

At least your brother looks like he's having a good time.

Gabe liked it, but the dark entrance had him a little weirded out... Once he saw the Wampa costume it was all over. He loved Vader and R2 though.

You know, when you go to enough of these it kind of dawns upon you "hey, I've seen a lot of cool SW stuff!" The models are the best though...

I did see Padme's white costume from EP II.... I couldn't help but think "God damn, Natalie Portman's tight little body was in that outfit." :lol The pig in me always comes out at some point.

Thanks for the pics Flosi! Makes me wish I would've went to it when it was here in Indy. Someone told me there weren't many props there at all. Should've gone anyway.

That is hilarious :lol

She does love SW though... back in the day she'd buy anything she could find that related to SW, I'm sure my love of SW and all things Science Fiction and Fantasy is because of her.

That was my Mom too. She loved scifi, fantasy and horror. She took me to see Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek and we'd watch horror marathons on TV. It was so much fun and I miss spending those times with her. I think that's why subconsciously cling on to those things now.
