re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I stopped collecting HB about a year after Mignola went all McFarlane and stopped drawing him. I'll go back and get the trades at some point. No offense to whoever took over but Mignola is such a singular talent it's a bummer he only does the covers (unless that's changed since I stopped reading).

I think I want to start reading Swamp Thing soon. I've read sporadic issues but I need a new comic fling.

She was lucky and got to hear Noel live last year while my wife was 7 months pregnant. She kicked the entire show. :yess: she also got to hear radiohead when my wife was 8 months preg. Kid is going to have great musical taste.

Yep. Love me some hellboy. Though that shelf of Neil gaiman, sandman and hellboy need a new home soon.

My 6 month old rocking out to Noel and sitting up by herself for the first time. And yes she loves beer. :monkey3.

My son hates beer... he's never tasted it, but I'm sure he's smelled it on me about a million times. :lol

Lily gets a teeny tiny drop when I get a new beer, but not everyday. Especially now since she's teething, the booze helps. :lol

That's pretty cool too. :hi5:

Edit. Early kickoff for spuds tomorrow. Going to give it to old 'arry your old gaffer pretty good I think. Not sure why the twitching b$stard took that job. Talk about sinking ships.

Alan Moore Swamp Thing is just about my favorite comic book run ever. Give it a try, Thom.

I haven't been able to get Radiohead tickets since I saw them open for - ready to call me a ******? - Alanis Morissette! :lol

They were promoting The Bends at the time and I went out and bought it the next day and every album since.

In my defense, there was a radio station broadcasting from Jones Beach and they randomly asked me to say "Alanis is hot!" on the air and I politely declined.

I saw Radiohead open for R.E.M. ages ago.

Off to Dallas this weekend for a taste of civilization. :yess:

Hah. That was the first time I saw them as well. Back in 1996 after we graduated college.

We were lucky last year to have box seats at Verizon center to see them. Fantastic show. Truly brilliant.

Yeah, I wish I could have seen them open for R.E.M. I was psyched when we got tickets to see R.E.M. with Wilco opening, but Wilco cancelled. :( I'm not a huge fan of all Wilco's stuff but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is a desert island album for me.

Sure was an odd choice. He's a fine manager, too bad he didn't keep his mouth shut instead of costing us third place and a CL spot last year.
