I finally got around to taking a picture of the doodle I got from Deak in my Christmas card.

Love that it took over a month for a blurry photo

Nah, I don't want your card. Freak cards are some of the very few cards I actually hang onto. They're awesome and I appreciated them all so much this past Christmas. Each one lifted my spirits in a somewhat trying time...

She said I was the most promising candidate.

I won't be lighting cigars with 100 dollar bills but it's exactly the kind of thing I need while I develop my artwork micro-business (and hopefully move into our first house).

I'll find out tomorrow when to come for a follow-up interview with the next higher-up. That probably won't happen until I get back but it sounds encouraging enough for me to celebrate.
