re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

This is a weird time for SW 1/6th collecting, especially for someone like me who only buys OT. The items that have been released over the last year have been fantastic: IG-88, Boba Fett, HT Luke, Tusken Raider, Bossk, Tamashii C-3PO. But for some unknown reason I don't have a single SW figure on PO (I do have the PT Yoda on PO, but I won't keep it since I have no desire to open up the door to PT purchases)! What the hell? I mean, there's been nothing! HT has really dropped the ball on what most of us thought would be a steady flow of dream figures, and meanwhile SS have shown us NOTHING outside of the new Vader, which looked pretty "meh" from the last teaser pic.... Honestly, Anakin, Hot Toys??? **** you. At least we know the full metal R2 is on the way next year. I know the price is high but I really wouldn’t have a darn thing to buy anyway if not for the Tamashii Droids.

HT is slow with almost everything anymore. Not shocked about them doing the same with SW.

On the latest episode of the hottoycast, they had someone from SS on who hinted at a 1/6 R2 in development. At least that's what I took away from the conversation.

I'd love to see more than one option for 1/6th scale droids. To the victor goes my cash.

It's fine with me...helps me put more funds in my Gibson Les Paul fund. :peace As long as they finish with the bounty hunters in the near future and maybe royal guards and at-at driver I'll be happy.

This is my 8th viewing of the Hobbit. :) I love it! I dig the Lego Bilbo minifig it came with too!
Well, saw it last night and boy am I rueing that I let this go at the theatres. Will definitely have to watch it as part of a marathon when the second part comes out. I had high expectations but Jackson exceeded them. Really like that it kept a Hobbit feel while still working seamlessly with LOTR (and man, that Necromancer stuff :drool). Brilliant film. Will be watching it again tonight with the wife.

Leaving out Obi-Wan's unlit saber is total ****. I don't understand their logic sometimes. :dunno

Yup, I mod the section as well as Marvel and GI Joe, but since my collecting is based around SW now I'm here more often than anything.

You're one ahead of me.:mad::lol

I pretty much have everything OT that's been available at retail from the last few years. I would love to get a DS though....

I know a guy on Twitter selling his Sandcrawler.

Exactly. :exactly: Word to your mother Walla! :wave

My brother got his hands on a bootleg copy, so that one was viewing and it's slow at work in the winter so I left early here a couple of times and hit the theatre. :)

They're several hundred dollars, right? Can't swing it right now.

I feel like that one girl in the McDonalds commercials for the shamrock shake. I hate you but once I pass you I'll love you again. :lol

In all seriousness I'm glad you like it enough to see it that many times. :hi5:

I don't collect Tolkien as avidly as you but I love the material more than just about anything else. BTW, Ski just repainted a Gandalf head for me, and it's gorgeous! Check out his thread.

Loving the material is the most important aspect. :hi5: Collecting it just allows me to bring it into the 3D world to show people. Will do.

My local K-Mart had the Bridge Direct stuff on clearance. 2.00 for single figure, 4 for 2 packs and 5 for the Warg and rider. I also grabbed a 6" Gandalf for 4.
