re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

GMT is safer, they don't even know the difference between PST and PDT
But it makes it more confusing for their customers, because nobody knows what time it is in GMT. Other companies don't do this, so I don't understand why Sideshow does. When they had an international warehouse, I could understand it, but not anymore...

It makes sense to use it me as it NEVER changes like most time zones. Plus is the half way point.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

And the insurance company just denied my claim fit the water damage In my crawl space so I'm back to being ****ed and needing to find $6k in like 2 weeks.

Damn :( Insurance companies tend to suck.

NiceWTF?!?!?!?! Your school starts in early August?!?!?!?! I hope you ended in early May then. That totally blows... I have teacher friends, and they don't start til after Labor Day. But they do have meetings one week prior...

The kids start back next week. We without snow days will get out May 19th but there are always snow days. Last year we got out May 23rd. Then you add the other stress on top of it and I'm worn out already. :lol

I understand your point, but since most other companies don't do it, I don't see the point of them being rebels... I prefer conformity. I'd rather have everybody use Eastern time (and no, I'm not in Eastern time).

Interesting. Our school systems build in snow days (I think they plan for 5-6 each year), so they never have to change the end of the school year. I don't recall it ever changing... Well, I wish you luck! I hope they get your work schedule sorted out. If you get stuck with those long days, we'll never see you in here during the week! :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Ugh, for realz? Thanks Sideshow, dicks...

The insurance denial, only got like 3 hours sleep, an eBay purchase is the wrong thing, sideshow allowing more exclusives. What else is next???????

I spoke too soon. 5 mins after I typed this my wife came home from the supermarket and lost her iPhone in the parking lot. Thankfully they had it but I had to rush over there and back before I could get ready for work. I think I'm just going to crawl under a rock.

Yeah, everybody was calling me a conspiracy theorist in the Star Lord thread, but I feel like there must be a reason why they're closing the pre-order window so quickly and taking orders through waitlist conversions instead. I wouldn't really care if I could still use the coupon codes for the exclusives I want, but waitlists don't allow you do that and people like you that wanted to use their reward points are out of luck too.

I think you've been right all along. There's definitely something shady about it. No way that many people cancelled already.

Wait, what ebay thing???

I ordered a vintage wax pack for my collection that I've been wanting for a while. Ususally it's a $5-10 pack but I lucked out and got it for $.99 and then a few others. The guy was nice about it but it's just annoying.

If anyone keeps their Marty Exclusive and wants to trade for a regular or sell the guitar, it's a stretch, but let me know.

Whatcha get, whatcha get???
We had the local toy show yesterday. One dealer had the Vintage tri-fold ESB card packs, like KB used to sell, 3 for $15. I was tempted to get some. He had the display box, too. I suspect he'd throw it in if someone bought them all. But he had almost a complete case, so it would have cost a lot...

Yeah. Because it was surface water coming in they classify it as flooding. I'm not close enough to the shore (7 miles) so it's not required that we have flood insurance. To save money, we never took it.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Hey Punk, yesterday at the toy show a dealer had one of your Batman statues (where you couldn't decided how to display them) for only $150. Was that a super bargain?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Been busy but watched GOTG yesterday. I liked it but didnt love it. Rocket and Groot were awesome. I didnt really care for Gamora or Nebula and I wish Star Lord was a trained fighter. He kinda seemed like he was winging it the whole time but guess thats what Drax is for. Overall it was good and can't wait for the sequel!

I can relate. I had a car totaled overnight while parked, and insurance covered nothing since hit and runs fall under Comprehensive. If I had just said I got in an accident, it would have been covered under Collision. ****ing insurance companies.

Finally, someone who feels the same as me!!! :hi5: I'm not alone after all! Yoda-lovers UNITE!!!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I work for an insurance company and I can confirm that they'll go to great lengths to get out of paying a claim. I work in the voluntary benefits industry, though.

Yeah, I don't get why we don't build them in to be honest. It's ****ing Missouri we're going to get snow and ice. :slap Thanks! Nobody I talked with today understands what they're doing. They're trying to tweak things but by contract my work day is only 7hrs 35 mins four days a week and 8hrs 15 mins (pd is that day) but there is no way to make the numbers work. So if things don't work out I may be in here less. :(

I got the Mummy Creature Feature pack from 1980, but they sent me the wrong thing. There's also a Frankenstein, Creature and Phantom that I need to get.

The same guy also had the 2 Jaws packs (Jaws 2 and Jaws 3-D). I already have Jaws 2 in my collection but for $.99 for both I'll take another for trade bait:

$5 isn't bad for the ESB rack packs, especially if you're planning on busting some to make a set. I've actually been watching a few auctions lately on those. There are some packaging variations it seems.
