Yeah, everybody was calling me a conspiracy theorist in the Star Lord thread, but I feel like there must be a reason why they're closing the pre-order window so quickly and taking orders through waitlist conversions instead. I wouldn't really care if I could still use the coupon codes for the exclusives I want, but waitlists don't allow you do that and people like you that wanted to use their reward points are out of luck too.

When did he go up for pre-order? I got on the waitlist on August 1st, which I don't think was the first day. I just saw all the people freaking out about how super exclusive it was and wanted to test the system.

Don't know, but judging by past exclusive Hot Toys figures, it's very unlikely that they actually sold out of their allotment in less than a day. I can't say for sure, but since there are no edition numbers or run sizes given to the public, you'd think Sideshow would just take orders for awhile and ask Hot Toys to produce that quantity. Maybe a few more for people that waited awhile.

I'm considering the Die Cast Mark 3. always liked the original movie armor. But don't know if I want to bother getting a different armor or not. I've got the Avengers Mark VII and it's quite nice, so not a huge need to upgrade. But I'm sure I could sell mine for a decent profit and get this; decisions, decisions.

If it wasn't for the dumb NRD I'd have already ordered one and worry about it later

That's weird. I placed my order the evening of August 1st and got a conversion. I went on the Star Lord waitlist just yesterday.

GMT is safer, they don't even know the difference between PST and PDT
