It wouldn't hurt me at All. I would get classes done and get my benefits.
Only negative is missing a semester towards my bachelor degree.
I feel like Luke trapped on the farm. But it's a whole another year! Well half a year lol.

I'd imagine that's a average number for most of us. Not counting Lego pieces or other things like that I have 185 Middle-earth pieces in mine.

If I'd kept everything I ever bought, I'd have a big ass collection. I still weep knowing I used to own stuff like the 1:1 Predator bust and original Hulk PF.

Perfectly cool evening for this. Autumn is right around the corner.

The only stuff I regret is my childhood toys that were lost - my SW figures disappeared when my grandmother's garage, where my mom had stored them, came down in a storm. My Transformers were ruined when my dad took the container they were in and dumped them onto our unfinished (read: dirt) basement floor.

I want to love pumpkin ale but every one I've had has been too spicy for me.

I'm glad my collection is the size it is but I'm more glad it's just the one subject matter that means the most to me. I hear ya. I think about some of the pieces I've owned and I think I wish I still had some so I could sell them and make more mine off them. :lol

So have you eliminated everything but Tolkien? I remember when I first joined you were quite the SW fanatic but I appreciate (and envy) people who can laser-focus their collections.

Pretty much. I have a Mark VII GG Bust and a couple small SW pieces but that's it. I have some of Jerry V's SW prints and some Mondo stuff but everything is built around Tolkien now. Yeah, I had a pretty cool SW collection at one time as well as a Marvel collection to go with my Tolkien stuff. It just became too much stuff as well as money I was spending. So I just decided as much as I enjoy both of those I'd rather just have one giant kick ass Middle-earth collection since it's the subject where my heart lies.

I'm confused. Flosi was back yesterday for me, except that when others were quoting him, it was still the dumb new name. Now today, I'm catching up on the thread, and everyone is welcoming Flosi back. What the **** is going on?

You've chosen quality over quantity which I think is the smartest way to go.

Example... My ultimate holy grail is any of the carded Aviva Dark Crystal prototypes. I've been offered a few before but the minimum is $2k. I'd rather sell 100 things and buy that one ultimate figure. Pure quality.

That's weird. I can't imagine you owning that stuff. I always equate you to Star Wars.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It is possible to have lots of quality though.

Oh no doubt. I'm not knocking anyone that has a ton of awesome stuff. Your collection is amazing for example.

Hmm I could see a problem there I will ask first thing tomorrow.

If you pick the right courses, it won't affect you at all. You need to pick courses that you can transfer to WKU (ie, the credits will count toward your bachelor's degree). You'll have to ask WKU about their guidelines for transferring credits from XXX Community College.

I wish I had a 1:1 Predator bust. I have never ever sold one of my collectibles. I mean, I've sold crap that I had never opened. But I've never sold something which I truly had as part of my collection. Once I display something, it's mine forever. At least, that's been my policy thus far...

You must have the best Tolkien collection in existence!

He didn't show up as FLOSI until today. I think you're crazy... Let me rephrase that - I KNOW you're crazy. For many, many reasons...

I don't even know what that piece is. I love Dark Crystal, but I've never collected anything from it... I'm gonna have to google that...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It's the reason I was mentioning people quoting him and the quotes showing up as Hands, while the user name had reverted (on my screen) to FLOSI!

I know. I'm just not a fan of that saying. That all. Thanks :) :duff

No, not at all. There are plenty of collections that I think people would find much cooler than mine. I'm quite proud my collection obviously so I appreciate the kind words.
