re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Back from an early morning hike. Made 10,000 feet by 8 AM only to see a storm approaching. Going up was nice, but coming down was downright scary as the rains opened up on us. Good news is, I get to be a bum the rest of the day and just peruse the forums before work tomorrow.

Nice to see someone from the Cantina win the Tron set and even nicer to give it up to make someone's day.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

No, not at all. There are plenty of collections that I think people would find much cooler than mine. I'm quite proud my collection obviously so I appreciate the kind words.
Well, you surely have the best collection on the board here. But I spose rich people probably have actual props and replicas and actual manuscripts hand-written by Tolkien that you would dream of owning... The Marquette University Library here (which is where I went to school) owns the largest Tolkien collection in the world. https://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Marquette_University

I was all over the place in my early days of collecting. :lol
I am all over the place in my collecting NOW.

I will have no coffin. Please cremate me and stop wasting space on graves. (Just my opinion)
I thought you wanted to be buried in your tiny house! It basically IS a coffin! :lecture
I kinda want to be cremated. But I also want to be buried with some of my collection. Can I be cremated with my collection? I don't think they'd allow it.

M is definitely down with the idea. He's actually always lived far simpler than me anyway.

The tiny houses usually max out at about 13.5 feet tall because most are mobile, and must be street safe.

There is most definitely AC and heating. But we also plan on leaving Vegas.

I'm hoping to keep 3-5 key collectibles... :D
You're insane!

Will there be room for me to come visit or will I have to sleep outside?
And no, I'm not sleeping in bed with you two. :thwak
There's no room for a bed, remember? You can snuggle in the crawlspace with him...

Did any of you guys win the Tron contest?
Not me. Didn't even know they picked the winners.

I got an e-mail saying that I won last night, so I guess they were. This is your lucky day, Titus. It's all yours once I receive it.
Congrats! Why not have it shipped directly to Titus? Saves time and money on shipping it... Awfully nice of you to do that! Titus needs something to cheer him up... So does FLOSI!

I don't like Tron.
Well :pfft:!!! Tron is AWESOME! The first one mainly, but I did enjoy the sequel... The original is pure AWESOMENESS!!! So was The Black Hole.

That picture always cracks me up. Poor Kenny wasn't even able to get out of R2 to eat lunch. :lol
Did he pee in there too? I don't think they had Depends back then...

I've probably got one of the stronger ones I'd agree with that. I'd like to think so anyways. :lol Wetanut who lives close by and is a dear friend also has a really good collection as well. There's a guy who posts on the Shadow and Flame message board who also has a darn impressive setup. I love the cabinets the guy has his stuff in. I've seen they have a great collection of Tolkien stuff. It's something I would love to see someday.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Speaking of great collections, when is Kenben going to hook us up with seeing Duncan's/Gus's (yeah, I forgot which :monkey3) collection?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Hopefully, someone else here that doesn't want it could give theirs to Waller if they won.

I just saw the post from Titus about how much he wanted this and entered for him. Plus, things with the house repairs and not being able to sleep seemed to be getting him down, so I wanted to cheer him up if I could.

Ben, you made my week. I owe you big time. :)

This is a huge example of why I love you guys.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Really? That much love for it, eh? I mean, I know Kuzeh loves the hell out of it, but I'm a little shocked at the rest of the support....

Yeah, it's another one of my childhood favorites that's stuck with me and another huge collecting focus of mine. Kuzeh's got me beat but I try to collect whatever I can.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

OK, back to the dungeon to keep packing. I'm learning that I own waaaaaay too much ****. :slap

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I can't find anything other than James Gunn saying the movie takes place after The Avengers but couldn't say how long after. If i were to guess, i'd say the bonus scene takes place like a day after the attack on New York and GOTG takes place a few months later.

God too know.

Whew.... Better.

Welcome back Floso!

I only got as far as episode two of Derek. It was good, but maybe a little too sad for my tastes.
Its sad but its also full of good laughs. I enjoyed both seasons, but season one was much better in my opinion.
I bet King has 200 or so, just to put it into perspective.

As for 1/6 I have exactly 191 pieces.

Random amusement - I am watching the new animated Batman movie and the Arkham Warden's name is Waller. The Riddler just said "I don't know why you talk to me like that, Waller" and I LOLed in real life.

:lol :lol :lol

If I'd kept everything I ever bought, I'd have a big ass collection. I still weep knowing I used to own stuff like the 1:1 Predator bust and original Hulk PF.

I had the pred 1:1. Amazing piece, I made 3 times what I paid for it so I don't miss it :lol

Gently down the stream....

Amazing!
I have the answer to all of your collecting woes...

Purge, purge, purge! :panic:

I wish I had the power to through it all in the trash, the idea of selling it all disgusts me.

Same. My mom and grandmother were cremated.
I'm getting cremated, its already set up and paid for. I want to use my 1:1 Darkness bust as my urn.

M is definitely down with the idea. He's actually always lived far simpler than me anyway.

You're insane. But I bet living small like that can be pretty fulfilling.

I got an e-mail saying that I won last night, so I guess they were. This is your lucky day, Titus. It's all yours once I receive it.
Nice! Congrats.
I don't like Tron.
Me neither.
I like Star Wars
Me too.

That picture always cracks me up. Poor Kenny wasn't even able to get out of R2 to eat lunch. :lol
That's rude.
You're lucky that you're sexy as hell otherwise I'd dump you right now. ;)
:lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I never got into Muppet Babies. I guess I was too old for them.

EDIT: Yep. I was 16 when it premiered.
