So while we are in WDW my wife and I are going to a Villains themed party...we like to try to do a special event most trips.

Anyway, they just announced that during the party there will be an Awesome Mix Volume 1 Dance party, featuring Star Lord and Gamora. It's the first time Marvel characters will make a live-action appearance at WDW (Captain America does a meet and greet in Disney Land). This is interesting because it's seemed that Universal has exclusive theme-park rights to the Marvel characters.

I've heard so many rumors on how the Universal deal works. The most believable is they have rights to Marvel rides east of the Mississippi. Though the most recent rumor is Universal is giving it all up and completely removing Marvel from their parks and replacing it with Lord of the Rings (not sure if I'm supposed to be revealing this or how confirmed it is).

It's so funny to see people believe this. Fox Owns OT movie distribution rights forever. This was only reported on one site, don't you think this would be picked up by other more reputable movie sites.

Yeah, it's like everything else - nobody really knows except the lawyers. Go check out the HT X-Men thread for an example of people just creating their own realities as to why there are no figures.

Lord of the Rings would be cool! Especially if they did something along the lines of Potter with it.
