I was never very good at that... my brother was though. He made at least 3 or 4 Millennium Falcons out of cardboard. Each one was better than the last, but still dream crushing in their inherent sadness :lol

I guess he tried to make me a DeLorean once, but it failed... I don't remember but he was telling me that was the reason he bought me a vintage DeLorean for Xmas a few years ago. I just thought it was a badass gift, I guess he was trying to make up for his failure as a brother :monkey2

So this is why I made the trek out in the rain last night:

The guy was super cool and just doesn't care for gaming.

Awesome! Loved me some Double Dribble back in the day!

Brilliant! That's GB I know and love.

I saw that Avatar guy 10%, shipping and $42 in rewards. I thought about buying just for the rewards points and then immediately selling it, but my luck I wouldn't be able to sell it :(

Why are games like the only thing that isn't insanely expensive 20 years later. You figure since a game in '93 was $50, they should be $500 now :lol

I needed that good deal boost this morning :lol Now if I could just stop buying for a few minutes :lol

I don't think the Jake figure is selling for much, that's one I should not have bought day one. I still really like the figure and movie (yeah, I know, **** you!). But damned if I couldn't have paid like half of what I shelled out :lol

And I've been surprised by the stable price of games as well... with inflation it's like they get 2% cheaper every year :huh In 1993, $50 was like $85... but now $50 is still just $50 :lol

Ugh, I should have bought myself a LEGO Tumbler when I got FLOSI one. Now they're all gone! :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I can only assume it's cause a ton more of games sell nowadays as opposed to back then. So they are still making a bunch more $$ per release with more units sold.

That and I'd assume the per-game cost is likely less... don't know about R&D, but at least it's cheaper to burn a disc then create those cartridges.

Pretty sure I got it for Easter too! Then it didn't work. :( But Nintendo was awesome and sent me another copy in the mail. That was a cool experience.

Good thing too since all of the stores were sold out.

I remember getting Mario 3. My parents went away to Atlantic City for the weekend and my Dad won $1k on a slot machine so they surprised me with it when they got home.

Another fun memory was entering a Nestle's contest at Jamesway and totally forgetting about it. A few months go by and a package containing The Hunt For Red October shows up on my Grandmother's doorstep. I ended up winning second prize in the contest.
