Learn something new everyday! :lol

Corey Dee Williams is the son of Billy Dee Williams and was on the set of Return of the Jedi when they filmed the famous Sarlacc Pit scene, with Jabba the Hutt on his sail barge and Han and Chewie about to be thrown into pit from a sail Skiff. The director asked Corey to be in the production and he became a memorable character, Klaatu, the odd, green alien.

I knew he was there because he posted images on FB recently I think telling the story of a fire on the sail barge set.

Too bad about Disney. I still wanna to to Disneyland this year though. :D

Here's a major part of why I love this board so much. You hang out with a like minded freak during a convention, and they bend your ear about a bygone gem of science fiction. A week later, you're ready to begin your journey...

Can't wait to get started.

I highly doubt you will be disappointed. But if you don't like it, blame Waller. :monkey1
Not sure if the box set you bought came with the bonus disc of the Peacekeeper Wars (it came with the Best Buy exclusive only, which wasn't very limited, so you may indeed have it). If not, it can be had for very cheap. That is the TV movie which wraps the series up, since season 4 had a cliffhanger ending. It was nice of them to make a movie to wrap it up. So many canceled series never get that opportunity...

And then, a few years ago, they started a comic series, with story-lines from the show's creators/exec producers, to continue the saga. So if you like the series, you can then try to get the graphic novels.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I don't think this set has the movie, but it might. I hope I'm wrong. I did get the chance to watch the first episode this afternoon, and it was weird, but I dug it.

Thanks again for the recommendation. :D

Too bad you still had school, or you coulda joined me. Star Tours is a lot of fun. But I kinda expected more to it. Not as many new video sequences, or droids on display, as I had hoped...

I would LOVE to go to SW Weekends sometime. I went one day a few years ago when I was near Orlando on business. I'd love to do it again. But I think I have to rule this year out. Perhaps next year...

Today I went to DairyCon, Wisconsin's official Transformers convention. No, I'm not into Transformers, but they have Star Wars activities as well. I won a few exclusive SW figures. I'll have to post pics. The dealers room wasn't as good as last year, but my friend bought the rare red-banded Kithaba.

Next up on Kenbenobi's 2013 convention tour is C2E2! Two conventions down, 3 more to go! :D

I truly hope you like it. I had no idea you were suddenly gonna go buy it! I hope you got a good price. It takes several episodes to sort out the characters and give you a good feel for where the show is going. So you definitely can't judge it by the first episode...

On a side note, at Disney I went to Captain EO. Has anyone else ever been to that? I didn't realize George Lucas made that. They showed lots of behind the scenes footage with him. I immediately had to find a copy online, which I have since downloaded but haven't watched yet. It was very 80's, but a nice little sci-fi treat. I highly recommend seeing it. And no, I don't mean you should suddenly go buy it. I don't think it was ever released anyway. But if my download turns out to be good, I could find a way to send it your way... :monkey3

I just finished watching the Walking Dead finale. I was 3 episodes behind due to my vacation. Wow, just wow. Can't wait for next season! Now, on to Doctor Who episode 2!!!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

You know I made it home from WonderCon in record time to see that WD season finale!

I was all :panic:

Sounds like a milk convention. Why not something cool like SeiberCon?

I saw that back when it was originally released and then again last year. It's cheesy, but it's during Michael's and George's prime, so it's worth seeing. If your download looks good, I may be interested. :wave

I'm glad you had a good birthday. I didn't think the 3D was that prevalent in this, but it was really cool seeing it in IMAX.

What's Jurassic Park?

Just giving my boy Chien a hard time. :lol

I can't wait to watch it on my 3D set in a couple weeks. :yess:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

WTF? I thought you were coming directly to Vegas from Chicago? What's the itinerary?

Coming in Tuesday, leaving Saturday. But my schedule is pretty packed with stuff mom wants to do. I will be able to meet up for lunch most likely! We are seeing lots of crap in Vegas that has nothing to do with gambling (for once! :rotfl)!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

What's there to see in Vegas that doesn't involve gambling, besides hookers?

Hookers of course!:yess:

We have 3 (maybe 4 shows at night)
Red Rock Canyon
Mob Museum! :rock
Chinatown
Downtown
Chuck Jones exhibit
Titanic exhibit
Shark Reef
And I will ride the roller coaster at NYNY! lol

Plus the new Caesar's buffet, and any other good buffet.
Lots of eating will be involved.

You're not leaving much time for the fury! :(

Which is actually, kind of okay, sad to say. I have class all day Monday, oh you aren't here anyway. I'm trying to get out of my clinicals on Wednesday and Thursday, because damn builders have to come into my unit to fix things with the walls and windows and such. I'm not leaving my puppies, or collectibles alone with them. But I can definitely meet for lunch.

Actually, I should bring you here so you can see my Lego Artoo and his place of honor! :D

Hey! :thwak

Actually, I like the hiking. But it is pretty vapid around here to be honest. I guess there's some shopping. And the new Mob Museum...

Hope you had a great birthday. I was waving to you from Milwaukee. Did you see me???

In your honest, unbiased opinion, how was the 3D on Jurassic Park? Did they do a good conversion?
