re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

:lol

Traffic actually wasn't that bad for a weekend (ok, wasn't that bad for Chicago :lol).
Problem was this old man wasn't used to driving so late at night. :lol

You need to just hang out with me more. :lol:lol:rotfl:rotfl

I'll almost guarantee they don't give you that weekend off. :lol

Thinking hotel room next year for C2E2. Driving to and fro get's tiring. :lol

If we don't have Celebration next year, I may join you if you will have me :)

Hey, guys. Anyone happen to be looking for any key silver age Amazing Spider-Man issues? I have quite a few that I'll be moving in the next month so I just thought I'd mention it here first in case anyone was interested. Lots of early issues, 2, 4, 5, etc. lots of first appearances. Green Goblin, Punisher, etc.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yeah, wish I was closer to more of you guys too. I don't get out of my normal stomping grounds very often.
I can't believe we missed you at C2E2!!! I had no idea you decided to go, until late Saturday afternoon. Gibby or Punkg tried to email you, but I don't think you saw it in time... :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

You're right, Flo. At least I'll be at C2E2 tomorrow. Sort of a mini adventure. I was debating signing up for the nerdy speed dating they have there for laughs, but all the guy spots are taken. A lot more desperate nerdy guys out there than nerdy girls, I suppose. :lol
I did it at CVI. It kinda sucked. I felt it was a waste of time. BUT that's because there were so many locals. I'm sure C2E2 offered a much better selection, since they would be local to Chicago.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

But, I really have enjoyed the past two Celebrations more than I can relay in words, and appreciate the friendships that have formed from those experiences.

I only hope we all have the chance again, and soon. Disney scares me a bit in that regard. My other major hope is that those Cantina denizens who have not made it to a Celebration, and want to, get to go soon...

:D :D :D
I don't want to spread rumors, especially if they turn out to be false. But I can state that a Star Wars artist informed me that based on information they received, there will be no more SW Celebrations after CEII. Disney is putting the kabash on them. They will likely expand Star Wars weekends more, to include more programming and potentially artists, but they won't have separate Celebrations in the future. Hopefully this information is not true, but they did state that no additional Celebrations have been booked, so 2014 is almost certainly not happening.

**** Disney if any of that is true. :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

And I hope Disney isn't basing Celebration success on CEII because that'd be nuts. No way that would ever be as big as the one in the US. Hell, you can still buy VIP tickets to CEII. Those don't even go up for sale here. :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I no likey Disney no more. I will burn all my BLu-rays

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I do, no lie. :(

I can't even get pictures from your iphones. :monkey2:monkey2
Do you talk on your phone much (ie, use a lot of minutes). If not, I highly highly highly recommend my T-mobile plan. NO CONTRACT, 100 minutes/month (10 cents/min if you go over), unlimited texting, unlimited internet, 4G signal, 30 bucks a month. You can get smartphones for dirt cheap as well ($175 brand new)

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Gurnee's a northern suburb of Chicago. Not gigantic, but it's known for the Six Flags theme park that's here. It takes about an hour to get to Chicago from here. I just hate driving in that city, though. I don't know the roads very well and the traffic is insane. I always take the train out there when I need to go.
No, it's known for its F'ing expensive TOLL!!! F'ing greedy Illinois bastards! :pfft:
