Had a blast at C2E2 hanging out with freaks Avfin, punkg42 and Kenbenobi!! It was great running into Bam as well!!

Can't wait until next year!!

Indeed!!! It was almost a good time! Sorry I didn't get to see Bam, or Ben. Perhaps next year. I know I'll be going for sure! Been to every C2E2 so far... I'll try to post pictures tonight, otherwise tomorrow. I'm going to an advanced screening of Iron Man 3 tonight. I'll brag about that later.

I don't want to spread rumors, especially if they turn out to be false. But I can state that a Star Wars artist informed me that based on information they received, there will be no more SW Celebrations after CEII. Disney is putting the kabash on them. They will likely expand Star Wars weekends more, to include more programming and potentially artists, but they won't have separate Celebrations in the future. Hopefully this information is not true, but they did state that no additional Celebrations have been booked, so 2014 is almost certainly not happening.

If this is true then I will be semi devastated. Going to Celebration has always been a dream for me, life just always gets in the way.

I no likey Disney no more. I will burn all my BLu-rays

And I hope Disney isn't basing Celebration success on CEII because that'd be nuts. No way that would ever be as big as the one in the US. Hell, you can still buy VIP tickets to CEII. Those don't even go up for sale here.

I hope it isn't true. I'm not posting this information anywhere else, cuz I don't want to spread potentially false rumors. But it would make perfect sense. CEII was planned before Disney made the acquisition. Disney has been killing tons of Lucasfilm. Disney already runs Star Wars Weekends and D23. I can see them incorporating more into those events, than continuing to run a separate event.

They would be insane to cancel Celebration. If they were smart they would continue the event but focus it in the park instead of a convention center. Fills up rooms, boosts attendance at the park, and lines Scrooge McDuck's pockets with more gold.

I like Celebration as-is. I would't like it if they made it park-centric. I avoid Star Wars Weekends because it's so crowded.

I've gotten so used to the Orange County Convention Center after two Celebrations. CVI was so much easier to get around than CV because I knew the layout and where to wait for panels. Or should I say autographs?
