re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Sometimes I think our grandparents were made of thicker stuff than we are.

We're all gonna die young from getting radiated by all of the wi-fi and cell phone signals around. Scientists haven't figured that out yet, but I'm sure they will.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

There's more terrestrial radiation coming at us right now, always has been. Hell, there's probably more natural internal body radiation than you know. Did you even know? Don't worry about the phones.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I just registered as a runner in the 2013 Freepress International Marathon.
After many years of making excuses Not to do it.
I have been running every day for the last two weeks. 26.2 miles is a long freakin way---
But I am doing it!!!!
Oct 20th---WOOT
Wow, congrats! But you gotta be careful around marathons these days...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Sorry to hear about your Grandma passing Devil. :( It does sound like she had a full wonderful life which is good.

Dammit, I forgot we had a radiation expert in here! :pfft: In most forums, I could have em all believing my bullpucky. :nana:

So, you're saying there is EXTRA terrestrial radiation? Why would E.T. do that to us? We saved him, and that's how he re-pays us?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It's radon my friend. Not too harmful, unless you fill your home with granite and marble, and never vent the home. Stupid rich people! Or, live in the desert Southwest for a long period of time. Oh wait!

Honestly, the worst culprit for over irradiating is diagnostic and airport checks. If you travel a lot, I would recommend opting for the grope rather than the screening. And don't get extraneous X-rays all the time. I decline them at the dentist all the time.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I took two months off and no one welcomed me back or told me they were thinking about me. :(

Bunch of jerks

Were you really incarcerated? And it wasn't aliens?

See? I care.

That's big kahkah, sorry to hear that D.

With all of the death that I've witnessed in my family over the last 10 years, I'm genuinely relieved that it wasn't someone younger.

I feel bad for my mom and her siblings, though.

Thats awesome! Sometimes I think I want to live that long, but then I think about how kahkah the world is and I change my mind. I'm just to lazy to live that long, I don't want to have to work for another 60 years, cause I'll never be weathly enough to not work. Working sucks.

My mom is kinda annoyed to learn how long women in her family live. She's nearly retired, but she has no idea what to do with another 30 years. Work or none, she's afraid of getting bored, annoyed, etc.

Myself, I want to see 200. I don't want to look 200, but if I can get there looking like I do now, I'm game.

I would like to stick around to see innovations and stuff though. Imagine living the 93 years she lived, the innovations from her birth to death are mind boggling. Plus world wars, moon landings, presidential assassination, civil rights movement, nuclear power! YEESH!!! There hasn't been sheet in my life time to speak off. I guess the internet its pretty huge, but other than that? Fawkin LAME!

You forgot Star Wars and G.I.Joe dolls. Also, shaved cooter.

I need aliens, killer robots or Jesus to appear if this life is gonna be worth remembering

Intergalactic travel...rejuvenation technology...a better shaved cooter...

I'm getting HT Luke next (and by next I mean after Ada Wong, Yoda, Poison Ivy PF and Batman PF).

Only 6 months to go. :dance

Words :monkey4

Oh, and I'm not pitching in nothing for your book! :pfft:

So that's how it is...

hey i suggested we make a thread to raise your bail money..............that's gotta count for something..........shouldn't it?........

Would rather get King out of jail, or get my book published? It's not like we have money for both. :dunno

Same here. I love living and want to go on as long as possible. Hell, video games can keep me occupied for years after I retire.

But your coordination will fail you by then! You will then get annoyed with not being able to beat the video games...

This would have been good to know BEFORE I spent 10 years traveling for work.

But for some reason, I think you'd request the hand-groping even if the radiation wasn't harmful. :monkey1

What's wrong with granite and marble?

I posted this in the Darth Vader thread, but it's too cool to not repost here. :wave

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

We just need 100% naked airports.

It might take a few years to get the ugly people properly ostracized, but in the end, I think it will be for the best. :lecture

Can you imagine the things we could do with a 200 year lifespan? :thud:

:lol
.

Absolutely. Should I make it a romance? :naughty

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

What's wrong with granite and marble?

They release naturally occurring radon, baby! :lecture

Don't worry, I have granite too. Just be sure to air the house out occasionally. Honestly, a good HVAC system is fine. We're not just recirculating internal air are we? Oh no! Are we?

Anyway, yeah, on nice days, get the cross breeze going, open all the windows, and it will be all good.

That's your fury PSA for the day.

And knowing is half the battle. :D

At that point I'd have tons of comics to re-read as well... and I'd have forgotten what they were about so they would be new to me! ... that is if my eyesight hasn't failed me yet... :thud:

Nah, I can more see the things I would regret still not getting around to or accomplishing in a 200 year lifespan. haha. I'm bad enough wasting all my spare time now on nonsense... :slap

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Anyone know when these are hitting!? I must get them both!

Rosario! hahaha :D
