re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

:lol, the problem is that some of it is stuff that no one wants. I have Indy figures for example that are still in box, never opened. Plus I'm lazy, I'd have to go in there (it's become a weird overflow storage spot for the whole house) and that keeps me going "Eh, some other time."
Toys for tots :lecture

Waller had a Snowtrooper, but he probably already sold it.

I gave someone a Snow Trooper and the cannon thingy. I wonder who it was. So many winners over the years. yay!

My thoughts so far;

- He-Man is making a big comeback. The PF looks nice, but that PCS Battle Cat looks amazing!

- HT has impressed with a few big surprises, mainly the 1/6 TIE, but come on, where the hell are you going to put that. The Falcon cockpit looks cool, but this has generated some negative buzz about Chewie. Leia looks nice, but damn, that thread is getting uglier by the minute.

- The Russian Batman looks pretty cool, at least it's not a straight re-hash of their PF Bats.

- And it looks as if Gentle Giant has finally thrown in the towel and is totally okay with rehashing giant versions of our favorite vintage toys. (I dislike this company more and more as the years go by)

What's up with that? I guess it's easier to rehash Marty and the DeLorean.

I'm surprised (I probably shouldn't be) that they're doing 2 DeLoreans, I would have thought we'd have gotten interchangeable parts or no other DeLoreans. The question is if we're getting "Clint Eastwood" and the part III DeLorean with the 1885 parts.

Random thoughts....

What is with Sideshow and their "interpretations" infatuation? They did it with their Joe line, with arguably horrific results. They are doing it with their Marvel 1/6 line, so far with not exactly terrific results. And I just saw their MotU premium formats. WTF?!? I just don't understand the reasoning behind taking beloved licences and taking the characters and making them in your own vision? Whats the point? You have to assume you are already alienating at least 50% of the fan base. I imagine there is an art director deep within the bowels of Sideshow in a big demonic throne, laughing manically ass his minions toil, crafting all manner of his offensive character interpretations. :huh

Yeah, it's odd... the Skeletor is pretty fun and at least looks like Skeletor. But the He-Man is just random and odd looking :huh I'm sure they sell enough, but I don't get it at all.

Wow, that turned out nice!

I still think the likeness on her is pretty weak, but it's growing on me.

I'm considering selling off a lot of my stuff too, my office is cluttered and packed. I have stuff not even displayed or opened.

I've been selling off stuff for awhile now, helps keep the collection fresh and uncluttered... out with the old and in with the new.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

If I had one, I'd sell it to you no problem. :1-1:

People don't want Indy figures?!?! That makes me a sad panda.

Mondo is making 1/6 Masters of the Universe figures.

When exactly did He Man become so goddamn popular? There's like five companies making MotU products :google

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My wife and I went to see Inside Out last night (it was great) so I didn't have too much time to look at the SDCC reveals! I've only seen the SW stuff, but I haven't had the chance to really delve in to the individual threads.

So far though, no real surprises except for the massive TIE fighter! ROTJ Fett! Leia sculpt looks okay but terrible dress! Luke in disguise but no Han? No TFA reveals?

Don't do it! :lecture

Luke in disguise but no Han? No TFA reveals?

These seem a bit weird to me. Saving it for a later reveal? Doesnt seem like Luke in disguise is exclusive either.
