re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Well I'll say it....from the pics so far, I'm really liking Sideshow's SW offerings this year...cool variety...almost low-key (in a good way). Hot Toys...yeah, there is some impressive stuff but...nothing that is making me say "gotta have it all". Old Ben looks good there, the ROTJ Boba looks great...the ANH Luke is good...and that's really it for me.

The rest of it looks big, expensive and just "off" a bit...glad they're putting on a strong show here, but I'm not feeling the "pull". I'll stick with Sideshow's good looking variety there....

Hot Toys finally won me over with the Falcon pics. I don't want the diorama, but Han, Luke and Ben look good enough for me to get them all. Leia too. Chewie is looking a little rough, but I'm not unsold. Vader will happen just because I can never have too many 1:6 Vaders. That said, I'm more excited for Sideshow's stuff. R5, Jawas, TIE Pilots, Biker Scout, X-Wing Luke, 3po...

Thanks to Eric for the suggestion. Plenty is a gorgeous book.

My little kitchen buddy, the vegetarian gnome arrived today as well...

Your's/yours :lecture

Since you changed it, it's yours. Your is would not make sense, so no apostrophe is necessary. However...

I would still believe the correct version of my hackneyed sentence to be...

Your poor grammar.

So if I add Chase to that...

Your and Chase's poor grammar.

Is that wrong? I live with an English teacher. But anything is possible, and you are the language poet! ;)

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

The apostrophe is possessive (not conjunctive), but also not necessary. The -s is necessary when predicating more than one subject. I don't know why.

You asked M? :lol

You're not stupid. English is stupid. :1-1:

But you are right about the apostrophe. I thought it was optional, albeit pointless. No. It's just wrong.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I still love you. :1-1:

Of course I asked M. He's the Director of Literacy for all of Clark County.

But he asked me not to say that! :lol

I'm trying to be an English teacher, but it sucks.
