Loved Jurassic World! There were some great sequences in it. One part reminded me of Aliens. Another part reminded me of Predator. Just a fun summer movie.

And a new crush! :love

Did you say you loved it?!?!?!!

Are you Waller???? Who are you?

Thanks. Art looks interesting, may check it out some time. Haven't read any Bats recently since...Dark Victory a while ago.

Artist is Greg Capullo. He is awesome. Do yourself a favor and start with the first arc Court Of Owls. Scott Snyder and Capullo are tearing it up on Batman.

I agree. Court of Owls is one of the best storylines I've read of Batman.

I don't think Mattel has anything to do with the MOTUSCLE release. It would make sense if they did but if anything I think it would be just the licensing thing. Super7 kind of acts on their own with their releases.

I totally regret selling my Futurama figures. When I was unemployed the line hit its peak in value and I cashed out with a pretty hefty profit which helped a lot but looking back I wish I would have kept them. :(

Didn't realize those were from Super7, still if they are an actual release I'll pick them up.

I already sold a chunk of the Futurama figures to a friend and don't miss them... it's a great series, but there are other figures I'd rather have on display.

I'm not feeling this version of Joker from what I've seen so far, but I'll wait until it comes out to pass final judgement. Looks like they're going in the same direction as Ledger Joker and amping it up to 11. I predict many grill wearing, emo Jokers at comic conventions across the country in the very near future.

I have to agree... I don't hate it, but I also don't feel drawn in by it at all. The trailer looked pretty cool overall, so hopefully once it's all put together it makes sense and is enjoyable.

And yes, I predict a lot of grill-wearing Jokers coming our way :lol

Is that an Ewok on steroids? :horror

That was the one thing that I was not really digging from the Behind the Scenes trailer...

Well that seems pretty definitive on the scene. I actually liked how the trailer ties in Bruce's desire to take out Superman being from him witnessing the destruction first hand. I was watching it for the first time with my friend and we both had and "a-ha" moment when we saw it.

Now that it's been a couple of days, I've had some time to digest SDCC15. Honestly, it was kind of a let down for me. Yes, Hot Toys revealed some cool products, but for the most part, I don't collect 1/6. I'm quite certain the new MOTU statues will come out great, but I've never been interested in that sandbox. Kind of surprised that SS didn't have 1 or 2 surprise PFs or something to blow us away. It's kind of sad that a PF shown off last year is being displayed again (Vader), I really think they should have been showing off something else.

I'm excited for the McQ line, but cautiously optimistic because they have been very slow moving with these pieces. Maybe being a big SW year we'll finally see something. I had to get the HT Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise as that's been a favorite of mine since I was a little kid. Hoping Han follows close behind him.

I guess I just expected more, but oh well. More $$ towards vintage SW and a big Cap piece I'm after. What were your thoughts?

I liked a lot of what was shown... but the thing that is a let down is there is very little revealed at the show. I enjoy getting some teases and info before the show, but Sideshow puts it all out there. HT at least held a few things back, so it was cool getting surprised by Boba and the 1/4 Stormtrooper.

Make sure you guys watch American Pickers tomorrow. Big Star Wars collection.

If you're on Facebook, here is their page with a video.

I used to really enjoy that show... sure it's staged, but it at least felt like there was some basis in reality. But after awhile it just got ridiculous and the fun of the show was lost. Something like this seems like an extreme case of pandering; you don't really "pick" a collection like that. It's not like the person in question doesn't know what she has, what it's worth or would be capable of selling the pieces.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Thanks, but I kinda meant at retail price. That one is double! It is $13.99 at EE.

You're welcome. I'm glad you guys were able to grab them. Why they went with a 10 cards set this time around is weird though. I guess everything really is bigger and better for SDCC.

Are you still looking for the SDCC version? I haven't been able to find a retailer with one yet but I'll let you know if I do.
Regarding the Topps cards, if I'm reading correctly, the Celebration set was original cards blown up to a larger sizes. The SDCC set has new images which they had not previously used on cards.

Regarding Jaws, I WISH I could score the SDCC version, but no, that's going for $100. I'm just trying to get the basic Jaws and some of the figures, at about retail price.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yep, it was just a few hours ago... but that also means it will likely dip in price again.

fury/Eric, two more Cocteau Twins albums were released on vinyl recently:
The Pink Opaque
Tiny Dynamine/Echoes In A Shallow Bay

Their booth sucked when I saw it at Celebration. It looked like Wal-mart at the end of Black Friday. Just lots of empty shelves and booth personnel standing around with nothing to do. :lol
