re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Morning, dudes. :wave

IM3 kinda sucked. I didn't need so much Pepper Potts as the hero BS, nor did I need Tony stranded in some small *** town for a good chunk of the film, which reminded me way too much of EP1 when they were stuck on Tattoine.

Oh man, it sucked? I was looking forward to it. :(

I haven't seen it yet and really have no desire to atm. Will go see it at some point I am sure.

It was fun at certain points and there's a decent little twist but it could have used a little more "Marvel Universe" in it, if you know what I mean. There was nothing new, really. You guys will see what I mean once you go.

For what little its worth I don't think it sucked. It was actually IMO a pretty good flick. It did a great job of showing the growing arc of Stark post Avengers and how the character is going to grow. Its a solid 8/10 for me.

Oh yeah! Poster! :D

I can't wait to see that poster hung in your home DW!

I may have to see if I can work from home tomorrow afternoon so I'll be there when my baby is delivered. :lol

Dammit, Josh... Don't make me break out the "but you like everything" retort. Don't you think it could have used a little injection of Fury? Or Banner? Or some kind of solid Marvel injection? Killian isn't a major comic character, and don't get me started on the Mandarin thing, though I did find that to be entertaining.

They really dropped the ball I think. They have desires to go towards Doc Strange in Phase 3 (or is it 2) and this was a chance to inject some of that there. It could have used some Avengers presence... Cap ? Thor? Banner !!!! It was a good movie for what it was but the weakest of the three IMHO

But I don't like everything. I don't like Ang Lee's Hulk or Ghost Rider 2 just to name two comic book movies.:nana::lol Actually, outside if the post credit scene I'm glad shield was left out. This reminded me of the first film where it was all about Tony. You get mentions about some other stuff that keeps it all tied, but the focus being about stark was nice. It reminded me of the comics where you might get a me mention but the main story focused on Stark. It felt like the right movie coming off the avengers to be honest. All of these characters are going to have to deal with this plus their own demons. Stark did all of that in his movie and for me it worked. It also has me very curious to where things go next for him. I'm hopping extremis armor or bleeding edge.

I agree with you, but he made some valid points. Personally, the first one is still my favorite. IM3 was very entertaining, but not the best film. The Avengers f'ing rocked. I LOVED that film.

Furystorm would not have improved the movie any. As for Banner? Well, there's an obvious response, but I shall refrain. I do find it amusing that the government was solely relying on Iron Patriot, with no mention of Shield. They certainly could have phoned Shield for assistance. I'm sure Captain America had nothing going on. He's the only truly enlisted man in The Avengers, and could have instantly been available.
