re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I agree with you, but he made some valid points. Personally, the first one is still my favorite. IM3 was very entertaining, but not the best film. The Avengers f'ing rocked. I LOVED that film.

I agree he makes some valid points. I'm just cool with how they did things with this movie. IM1 is still the best of this series but the best of them all is The Avengers for me anyways.

Dammit, you posted that while I was perfecting my masterpiece post.

No IM3 spoilers, please. :monkey3

I purposely avoided saying anything that could possibly give anything away. I was about as vague as I could possibly be. I never mentioned Tony Stark or Rhodes dying at the end. That would be wrong. :monkey1

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I think I was just hoping for something better than IM2, and this was honestly about the same. Maybe it's just the character? I mean, Iron Man wasn never one of the top Marvel heroes before RDJ played him in the first movie. There's not a ton of awesome characters in his rouges gallery, mainly the Manadrin, and I mostly identify with him as a member of the Avengers. An actor can only take something so far, and Iron Man is no Batman. Perhaps it's run its course?

I do think it's run its course. But, money talks. So I'm sure that eventually we will get IM4. But not for a long time. I'm sure RDJ wants to do other things. And Avengers 2 will most certainly happen before IM4. Plus many other sequels as well...

I'm not sure how much more RDJ we'll get. Disney seems cheap and I expect them to balk at his asking price for future movies. Hopefully I'm wrong, though. :dunno

I think it was a fair amount better than two but I enjoyed part two quite a bit. I think it has more to do with personal feelings about the character than it having run its course. I'm hoping we get Downey back for The Avengers 2 and back for at least 1-2 more Iron Man films.

I think that's a good thing.

I'm even a little worried about Thor. Why not give us some of his bigger foes in this film?? Enchantress, Absorbing Man, Wrecking Crew, Mr Hyde and Cobra... Mangog, who could tie into Thanos???

Surtur????

I'd rather he just sign to do two more Avengers films.

I'm not worried about Thor at all. I loved the first one and IMO this one already is on track I think to be even better. Malkeith I think is an interesting choice, and the chick we see taking skin off her face possibly the enchantress.

I'm very excited for this one.

All I'll say is, watch the entire credits.

I want him doing those but I'm not ready to see him stop doing solo Iron Man films. So we have to agree to disagree on that one.

Oh crap. That one NEEDS to happen. :goodpost:

I hope the never do that. Always though the Beta Ray Bill stuff was so very lame.

I suspect they are ALL signed for 3 films. I'd be shocked if they arent. Granted, with The Avengers, members did change in the comics. Was IM always in it? Or did he leave?

The Avengers were always a revolving door.
