Felt like dropping in and sharing some joy, since I couldn't figure out a more-appropriate thread in which to do it (that also wasn't old).
The hero-to-villain ratio on my 1/6 Sideshow SW shelf was looking a little imbalanced (a lot more Jedi than Sith -- and the only two Sith figures I have are the Palpatine/Sidious two-pack, so I'm not sure if it even counts as
two) -- so I impulsively snagged the Sideshow Darth Maul along with his probe droids in a feeBay auction last week. The figures arrived today, and I have to say... DARTH MAUL IS AMAZING! I knew I'd like him, but Sideshow did a hell of a job. The sculpt, the paint apps, and the tailoring on his fantastic outfit are all top-notch. I'm admiring the thing right now and it blows me away how cool he is.
Still hoping they put out a version of Vader from one of the other films (either ESB, ROTJ, or ROTS) since I'm not too big a fan of the ANH helmet, but until that day comes, Darth Maul is easily my favorite baddie in the line. So happy!!
