Same here. My condolences MadCow.
But you're not the same person. DNA is just a blueprint. Development changes you. The actual matter that makes up your cells has been completely changed from one time period to the next (I have no idea how long it takes to clear out old cells of dead material and replace it, but it's safe to say an adult has transcended the components of a child).
If you can actually get back there, you're dealing with two different entities. If they were truly the same, they wouldn't be able to occupy different times and places.
As for interference, I don't understand why touch would be a violation, but interaction on any other level would be permitted. Is there a limit to local influence? In the bigger picture, isn't changing time placement an interference? All actions have causes.
That would be a great spot, especially for the sex.
If you want a story that goes beyond a single book, I'd read Methuselah's Children, Time Enough For Love, Number of the Beast, The Cat Who Walked Through Walls, and To Sail Beyond the Sunset (in that order).
Stranger in a Strange Land exists in the same timeline, but the characters are unrelated. Same with Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
Same here. My condolences MadCow.
I disagree with your first sentence. You're still the same person. Same DNA. Just a different age.

So which one is a good starting place? Stranger in a Strange Land?
