re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I haven't used DDD in years, so I know all my account information has changed. I don't even remember my login information. :lol

I can't blame ya bro. DDD would have charged you shipping

I still got charged shipping since it wasn't from Amazon, but it only ended up being about 90 cents more than the DDD price before shipping.

Anyway, this is all scientific mumbo-jumbo anyway, which will likely never come into play in our lifetimes. I truly wish it would, but it most certainly will not. I would love to think that time travel truly is possible.

I don't think it is possible, exactly because a thing ceases to exist as it was from one moment to the next. There is no actual past or future. Time is just a point of view. There's only the present, and it exists at the expense of the material configuration that existed before it.

To get to the past, you'd have to rewind the entire universe, and that would destroy the present as it is. The odds of getting back to an identical present would be nearly impossible. Nothing says it will go down the same way as before, especially when you consider it will have been restarted in the wake of a complete reversal of the entire history of causality.

Aliens, on the other hand...maybe if they're living in the neighborhood already. I'm a bit skeptical on the possibility of interstellar travel (though not as skeptical as I am when it comes to temporal manipulation).

I'm cool with that. I don't need certain things in HD and I certainly don't want to spend a lot either. $18 for a couple seasons is good enough for me. :D

I feel sorry for people who can't keep up with this thread. :lol

If it weren't for rain, I'd have been doing yardwork all day and I wouldn't have even bothered to try. :lol

This is my favorite thread, so even if I was gone a few days, I would read every post. I know, I'm :cuckoo:

Dude, you have put WAAAAY too much thought into time travel! :slap

As for aliens, I firmly believe in them. I don't care if we find living aliens. I just want to find proof of their existence. Perhaps on Mars, or elsewhere. I find it hard to believe that Earth is the ONLY planet in existence that has ever hosted life-forms. Although it would be awesome to meet an alien race, that is probably far-fetched. But to find alien remains would still be awesome.

It's not that hard. :lol

It is crazy to believe that there is no other life in the universe, but it might be a lot trickier to get proof given the sheer scale of things. Proof that there had been life on Mars would be too fascinating for words (I really doubt there's anything now; microbial maybe). Being so close, the idea that we may have transplanted would blow my mind. Imagination overload.

Some stuff I don't want in HD. Old TV shows especially. For nostalgia I want to watch them how I remember them.

My wife and I just talked about this the other day. If aliens landed on earth tomorrow I wouldn't be suprised at all. I believe they've been here before. I'm one of those Ancient Aliens believers.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Congrats!!!! I'm always tempted to AFA some stuff. Did you go loose or carded?

Loose, of course. I'll get a carded Artoo one day, but it will likely push the grand mark for what I have in mind.
