Me thinks it would be cheaper to just make your own. $80 seems a bit much for that. Buy a cheapo kids saber from the store, remove the saber and put a knife in. :lol

Also a good idea:)

I almost aced my second exam, 47 out of 50!

I posted this in the TFA thread but since many of you fine people refuse to deal with the rabble in that section I'll repost it here:

Had a two day work conference in Las Vegas and flew back yesterday evening on only four and a half hours of sleep, jet lag, and a slight hangover. After taking my seat I think I passed out before we even left the runway. I heard no announcements, no safety tips, none of that. But then I hear some noise and wake up and look around a bit disoriented. I glance up at the ceiling monitor and what do a I see but Max Von Sydow handing Poe the map to Luke Skywalker. WTF????

I was instantly awake and watched the whole damn movie on mute. Fastest two and a half hour flight I've ever taken in my life. And let me say that on a 13 inch screen, no 3D, no awesome IMAX formatting for the Falcon chase, no SOUND at all, that The Force Awakens still rocks. Honestly seeing it on a 13 inch monitor with a little wavy line (due to whatever interference) that would sometimes pass through the middle of the screen it almost felt like what I imagine it would have been to watch pan and scan TFA on VHS back in the day just like with the old movies.

I still grinned ear to ear at the Falcon chase, I still chuckled at some of the funny lines and head nods from Chewie (with no sound!) the whole movie just works and needs no big screen presentation to do so. If that isn't the mark of a good sci-fi adventure then I don't know what is. We even hit some turbulence when the TIE Fighters started attacking Maz' castle which made me think "cool, D-box." :lol The only thing that sucked was that we began our final descent before the film ended and the pilot killed the monitors when Rey was still dueling Kylo. A lady a few seats over shouted "oh come on!" which led to random laughter. Hopefully that wasn't her first time seeing the movie. If so no Luke Skywalker for her. :lol

Sounds like a nice flight! :)

He should have circled around one more time to let you see the end.

Hi guys! :wave Got my Boba PF in yesterday. Didn't have a chance to open it up yet though.

I bought my first MOC Yoda today. It has a dented bubble, but it's clear, and the card is pretty decent. Paid $200, but get $20 back in Ebay bucks, plus paid with gift cards that I got for 5% off from Target...
1980 Yoda 32 Back ESB Carded Vintage Star Wars Kenner | eBay
I know it isnt perfect, but it was cheap enough...

Nice I spent a lot time wanting prefect ones but finally came to the realization that having nice ones are all I can rationalize paying for is nice ones .

Hmm that's odd they normally dont play movies unless they can finish it. What airline was that?

I'm impressed they showed a movie on a domestic flight, but they shouldn't pick a movie that's too long for the flight! Unless the flight crew started it way later than they were supposed to...

Same here! What number did you get? I think mine was 523... You probably got number 2, knowing your luck! :lol

Exactly!!!

Made me even more excited about Celebration Europe this summer.
After you going for the entire weekend? We'll have to meet up...

C2E2 in two weeks!
I know Kenben is going. Are you going Boba Ben?
I wasn't planning on going.
You should go! I am only going on Saturday. I'll have to contact Gibby, to see if he's going, and whether he's up to having a group dinner... I hope so...

The plan to have more Star Wars things at our wedding is proceeding nicely. Sofar:

- We will enter to the Star Wars Theme
- We will leave to the Imperial March
- If I can find a cake knife with a lightsaber handle we will use it.

I will keep trying. :)
Very cool!

Anyone preorder Blu Rays from Target and bad then shipped? How were they shipped?
I just received one yesterday. It came in a skin-tight cardboard envelope with no protection whatsoever. It's the same as what Best Buy uses. If you want mint, buy in-store...
Speaking of Target pre-orders, they are now changing their tune about TFA. The bonus material will be web-based and NOT a bonus disc. THOSE BASTARDS! I probably will get the BB steelbook instead now. That bonus material will hit YouTube, or somebody will rip it. I don't get excited about web-based content. I want the actual disc!!!

Oh I may cancel mine then. I just have to figure how long Best Buy holds items for pickup since I will be gone for a few weeks.
