When Lucas wrote the script he probably didn't have a indepth classification of droids in mind

I am infinitely jealous, fury, and not just because you got to breathe the same air as her bum. Sam is a legend here because she is an amazing woman, who I hope to meet some day. It would truly rock to be able to eat, drink and be merry with her.

Having those kinds of talks at comic-con is one of the things I look forward to every year. We have a pretty tight knit group to say the least.
