Going tonight at 6:30.............im just hoping those porgs aren't as annoying as I fear they will be......:lol

Ok better than 7 and probably Rouge One. Still lil too predictable in where it kind of copies the old ones. Still nothing compared to the 4-6, but better than 1-3.

I have it ranked 5 out of the 9 movies. There was one scene that made me feel embarrassed it was even in the movie lol. Overall it is a fun watch and ill be watching it again and again but there was some missed opportunities. Rian and Disney had what could of been the best movie of all time in front of him had he picked right in the storyboard room.

Origin of the blue milk??????.............:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4
That was so unnecessary.......wtf?

My thoughts after 2 viewings:
After my first viewing, I was thinking this movie was a C or C-. After my second viewing, I enjoyed it more and now give it a B-. I had a similar reaction 2 years ago with TFA. I enjoyed it more after my second viewing. I think my expectations are very high for SW movies, so it’s hard to enjoy the first viewings.

I still think Snoke may have been a wasted opportunity since we now don’t know who he is or where he came from, but I was always fine with not knowing where the Emperor came from in the OT. I’m not so concerned with this anymore, although the FO could be in trouble if Kylo is calling the shots. :lol

It looks like they’re going in the direction that anyone can have Force powers and not always something that runs in the family if what Kylo told Rey is true. That was harder to accept, but I now liken it to Harry Potter. Some of those characters had one or both parents that were magical and some not at all (Hermione). That never bothered me, so I guess I will eventually be able to accept this as well in the SW universe.

I picked up on dialog and actions better after seeing it again, so that always makes it more enjoyable. I’m seeing it again today with my wife and daughter.

The two things I still didn’t care for after two viewings is the whole casino/hacker sequence and the broom kid at the end.

I’m going for my third viewing today, this time with my wife and daughter. And two years ago today we were seeing TFA on pre-opening night. :rock

Pretty much feel the same way after my second viewing. Still bothered by the humor at some places but felt the movie flows a lot better the second time around. As you said, we are anticipating those movies so much that we tend to miss lots of important details when watching them for the first time.

You are so right about Snoke. These days, every character featured in a Star Wars movie get to be fully explained right away. I was indeed shocked to see Snoke handled the way it was the first time, especially as it was sold as the ultimate villain since revealed in TFA. Then, i thought about how the Emperor was handled in the OT and realized he wasn't offered much more depth. Only thing is it did happen at the very end of the story.
Pretty much the same can be said about Phasma. She's very much like a Boba Fett in that trilogy. With some luck, she will get a proper background in other medium to fleshen her more so we can enjoy her more in TFA and TLJ in the future

As I've said elsewhere, I'm quite entertained by the film, but have multiple issues with it upon first viewing. I more or less line up with a lot of what you said, Waller -- we'll see if my views change on second viewing. Some of the issues I have are unlikely to go away, but we'll see.

(FLOSI'S Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I liked the movie but found myself shaking my head during a lot of small moments. Something I didn’t really do during Rogue One or TFA.

I think the tonal shift (jokes) is what irks me more than anything else. The acting was good, so it still seems more watchable than the prequels for me. Hamill was fantastic and I thought Ren’s story line was good. Story lines for Poe and Finn weren’t all that compelling unfortunately.

I get people complaining about the plot, humour, not feeling SW enough. But I just don’t get how people can say Hamill did a bad job in this movie. He was amazing.

In other news, I just finished my Scout Trooper.

It’s been a great project, learned alot due to never having worked with the materials/tools before.

I was quite meh about the whole thing. Shaking my head at too many parts even after a second viewing.

Basically, it's a Disney Star Wars movie. Leaving more questions than providing storyline answers which to me in empirical if you are approaching the piece as a part of a "trilogy". More throw away arcs than solid advancement.

6th for me just nudging out ROTS if I am honest.

Pretty sure that milk was green...

My thoughts after FOUR viewings (went 4 days in a row):
I also thought it was better after my initial viewing. And I caught new things each time. I almost missed that the broom boy had the Force. And I didn't catch the true meaning behind Yoda saying "the books contain nothing the girl Rey does not already possess." I thought that was strange the first time, since there's no way she knows everything in those books. But then I realized he's slyly saying that she possesses the books. Which Luke, of course, did not know...

Overall, the movie didn't seem to accomplish much, other than them escaping "barely", but after thinking about it, that's all ESB accomplished too. Luke went to Yoda for training, and the Rebels escaped the Empire. Rey goes to Luke for training, and the Resistance escapes the First Order. Once again, much can be compared to the OT. The Snoke scene was VERY reminiscent of the Emperor scene in ROTJ, when Luke turned himself in Vader, much like Rey turned herself in to Kylo. Lots of copying the OT still...

But yes, the entire Canto Bight sequences were the worst part of the film for me. I didn't like the aliens, or the atmosphere. Why do they always feel the need to have a cantina-like scene?

Wow, I'm surprised. Other than the Porgs, I didn't find it too Disney-ish... I'll call it the 5th best film though. ANH/ESB (I flip flop those often, Rogue One, ROTJ, and then TLJ...

I agree with that ranking Kenbenobi.

And yes, the milk is green. Just got the visual dictionary which confirms it.
