Damn you UT for showing me that!

You know I'm a dog person. Damn, can't see to type now...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

We have an above ground shelter bolted to the slab in the garage. Just got it last month.

I saw those when I was doing some research... we have a concrete reinforced "closet" in our master bedroom which is supposed to be for tornadoes. But I don't know how secure it actually is... it's definitely solid (more so than normal construction) but I don't know if it would just be swept away with the rest of the house :huh

Luckily the price on these isn't astronomical; looks like a shelter that goes under the garage floor starts at around $3,000.

Pics from the OK devastation is unbelievable. I don't think I've ever seen tornado damage that horrific. Glad Waller and anyone else in the area is OK (no pun intended). I feel terrible for everyone, especially those that lost children in the school...

Yeah, that is overwhelmingly sad. My wife had heard at around 5p on the weather radio that all the children had been rescued. Then a bit later I saw that nearly 30 may have died... just awful.

I thought the same thing, some of my favorite freaks dwell in OK. Scary shat. My sister goes through it all the time, I can't imagine having to deal with that stuff. I live in a zero natural disaster area, thank baby Jesus.

Yeah, no idea what I'm still doing here :lol The city I live in seems to be pretty safe compared to other areas in Oklahoma, but we did have one touch down 2 or 3 years ago. Just minor damage and no one was killed, but still pretty scary.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Got a few texts, tweets, Facebook messages and posts here to see if we were OK after the storms. This forum really is family to me. Thanks, guys! :duff

I feel like a **** forgetting that you live in OK. Glad everything is fine Waller!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Glad you're okay too, Waller! What a tragedy. It's nice to know you're safe and sound.

I'm coming running back to the Cantina. Maybe I won't venture out any more. I missed you guys, and went off the rails in the Rebels thread. Stupid fury...

Be strong OK. ;)

I will say I can understand where the poster may have been coming from, but without any context before hand it was offensive and I was shocked when I first read the comment.

Just got back from Star Trek Into Darkness. Oh wow it was good! :rock

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Of course of course!! I totally went in blind, and well, the surprise to me was very interesting! I'll just leave it at that. No more talk and no spoilers!

Considering how much you play with it, i'm not surprised :monkey1

Glad to hear the OKC freaks are okay.

The front of my house is BRUTAL on days like today and of course my daughters wanted to run through the sprinkler. Not a cloud in the sky so i roasted, ugh.
