re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I saw Trek in 2D and I'm happy I did, post production 3D is weak and tends to annoy me more than wow. Love it in movies that were always going to be 3D but usually it just seems like a cheap gimmick.

Two words why it was worth seeing it in 3D: Zoe Saldana. :yess:

Do any of you guys live near Blaine, CA? There's a craigslist listing I really want to purchase, but it doesn't look like he wants to ship the statue.

If it's something just I want to see there's no damn time at home. I actually have to go out to the movie to be able to watch it. The wife already gave me the OK to go see Iron Man 3 this weekend. :yess:

See Star Trek instead :monkey3

I recommend just sticking to 2D. You're not missing anything with the 3D, except a few bucks more.

I enjoy the depth it can bring to some movies.

I did not find it added much to Iron Man. But Star Trek I felt a decent sense of depth in the futuristic setting.

I'll probably end up seeing Iron Man 3 in 2D. It's playing 30 minutes earlier tonight and I'll probably end up getting the 3D Blu-ray anyway.

I have not been keeping up with the Vader thread, are there major problems with him?

1. :lecture

2. When done right, like with Avatar and Life Of Pi, it's great. But i don't think i've seen a superhero movie yet where the 3D was good.

What do you mean "probably"? :lol

A release just can't happen w/o a lot of bellyaching... and that's the case again with Vader. Overall looks great, although I am a bit confused by the two different body suits... I like the look of the more sewn/matte one, but have a feeling the shiny one is what we'll be getting.
