Good luck with that! Even when I went to SDCC, it was nearly impossible to get the Hallmark ornaments! You gotta get in line VERY early, then RUN to the booth, and wait in a super long line, which takes them FOREVER cuz they are slow as HELL! I didn't even bother the last year I went. It wasn't worth my time... But I know they sell for crazy prices on Ebay, which sucks, cuz most of the people buying them are doing it just to scalp them.

The COM-8 is the reason my Artoo fund took a hit. It's the frame for Artoo's body. The newest version is not on the site, but you can check out the three basic frames at the website below. It's only run once a year or so, and he's making 29 I think for this run. I begged my way onto the list...

It was pretty expensive ($2140), but I also reconciled PayPal fees and such that chipped into my total...

Yeah I hear they are a nightmare @ SDCC. They had them @ NYCC last year as well. If you can't get them LMK and I'll try in October. That Rancor looks REALLY nice, I just don't collect them anymore.

I've never owned one, but from the looks of it the Medi is quite nice. It is about 1/2-3/4" shorter though, and plastic instead of metal. You really should keep an eye out in the commerce section if you want a Tamashii as they've been selling for 350 or less there.

Mine's actually a newer version called the, well you can see it in my sig line, COM-8 A-1, which adds the ability to switch from three leg mode to two leg. It won't be automatic, but it will be nice to have for transportation, and so that R2 can take up a tiny bit less space when he's living in my house. Which in turn will allow me to justify making him a friend in a few years.

Anyway, yes, just the frame. I know there's a lot of a la carte there, and yes, I got all of them except for the Pitman motor and bracket, because I already have a dome drive, but come on...

Go big or go home!
