re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

The spending spree continues... I'm still eager to buy some vintage, but I'm out on the Ewok Village now. I bought a boxed one today for only $46 + shipping, and it comes with the Ewok glider as well... For some reason, that was #1 on my vintage wants list. I just had to have it, and couldn't pass up a bargain like that... I just hope it is truly complete like the auction states. The pics weren't very good. No instructions though.

That will be awesome!

I am getting sucked into customs now, ugh.

Finally getting a Dude custom, which is gonna be amazing and then I am starting a Merle from TWD.

Methinks a poster might be getting purchased this week. :rock

Oddly enough I would really like the Hoth sets as I distinctly remember having them as a kid.

I have that one still, from my childhood! One of my favorites...

Trying so hard to save money :panic:
Cutting back big time on OT at work :monkey2
Going to c2e2 this weekend---might have to treat myself :monkey1

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I bought the ARkham Asylum on January 1st. My next set was in March. So that long. :rotfl:rotfl
LOL! That's longer than I thought you were going to say. I can picture you shaking and going through serious withdrawal before you finally made that March Lego purchase... You are a future candidate for LAA (Lego Addicts Anonymous)

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

On my way to take my last two exams for my program! Where has the time gone? My official board exam is only 15 days away! Crunch time...

:D :panic: :D
Soooo, you gonna join us at C2E2 this weekend? :monkey3
Seriously, good luck! I have faith that you can ace it. You are much more disciplined than I... I can never ever go back to school, cuz I know I won't study.

We watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade this weekend. My daughter saw George's name in the credits and said "Hey, he created Star Wars." :yess:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

just wanted to drop in and introduce myself.

First time on these boards, post quite a bid in another forum tho.

I've been collecting SW since trading cards in '77.

I've got a vintage & modern 3 & 3/4" collection as well as too many Sideshow 12" figures.

I went crazy in the begining, having to have both the Exclusive & regular editions and in some cases, doubled up on those.

Now the time has come to pare down this stuff, so if anyone is looking for earlier stuff, let me know.

my whole collection spans several storage units and my frineds on the other board I mentioned earlier dubbed me "The Warden of Paulcatraz."

Hope to participate & contribute in many of the threads here.

thanks for having me :)

Welcome, Paul! I feel your pain. Although I finally got my stuff out of storage, my basement is like where the Ark is hidden. I have so many cool collectibles that haven't seen daylight in many, many years. Someday I hope to go through them all, and sell off my duplicates or non-SW stuff. Unfortunately, it hasn't curbed my urge for buying new stuff. I'm just more selective now.
Have you or do you plan to go to any conventions, such as the SW Celebrations?

How old is she? Did you tell her, "Gee, I did not know that!" :D

Man, I loved that set. The detail on the probe droid back then was great even by todays standards. I remember taking the top of the turret off and pretending it was a small, single seat ship.:lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I would be happy with all of the Hoth playsets and a Death Star in my collection !

Ha! Thanks Kenbenobi.

Here is a small Sample of what I'm dealing with, lol

I attended the original Celebration back in '99 and then II in '02, but honestly didn't have the enjoyment we thought we would have.

We really wanted to go to the one in Orlando, as that's a city my wife & i frequent, but just couldn't get the timing to work out....

I remember that people originally thought Hasbro just modded that mold when they did the POTF Deluxe version back in '97.

I was brand new sculpting, but certainly a compliment to vintage for how nice it was....
