....................and Sideshow unveiled absolutely nothing at all?

Yeah don't think they showed anything new, they just put Captain Phasma premium format up for preorder.

Definitely considering getting the Executioner but I think I'll wait to see what they do in the movie. No reason to rush with First Order troops hahah. Also will wait on the Praetorians to see the movie. Only figures I know I'll get are Luke, Rey and Kylo. I wish we would see a General Hux eventually. I'm also one of those people who were disappointed to never see a Krennic.

Day's pretty much over all over the planet... so yes, big stinking turd of a Force Friday.

Good luck getting me excited next time, Disney. Han Solo + Force Friday = who cares?

Never forget.

Honestly even at retail stores this didn't seem as eventful to me. Aside from some new Lego sets and some Black Series figures I didn't see much that excited me. Almost got the Black Series Rey in Jedi Training Gear but decided not to. I have a hard time paying $20 for those figures. Cheaper than buying a high end figure but ultimately less satisfying.

Amen...those paint apps??!!!?

I would have least expected them to put up the Mythos Obi-Wan for pre-order.

Was waiting for it @_@

And then they posted an article instead saying "What we want from an Obi-Wan movie" with a picture of the mythos statue.

I don't think so. Honestly The Last Jedi excites me more than The Force Awakens. I think the new film will be taking more risks and go in a different direction whereas the first was more on the safe side. I think the problem is there are so many big blockbusters now days and also doing Force Friday every time there's a new film out makes it less special.

Honestly, I can't get excited about The Last Jedi yet. I'm definitely hoping it won't be a disappointing movie, but there's just nothing that screams excitement yet. With TFA, you had the excitement over a brand new trilogy starting up and Star Wars movies coming out regularly, and with all the new looks at the First Order and Kylo Ren, it felt like jumping back into the Star Wars universe was fresh and exciting again.

Maybe part of me is nervous that they're going to do something stupid with Luke. Maybe part of me is just bored with Disney's lack of originality. Maybe I just can't get into the First Order yet, since I don't really see them as any kind of menacing. Maybe it's the lack of exciting merchandise or costumes.

I share Wor-Gar's thoughts. I hope this movie isn't a disappointment. But rather than counting down the minutes until release like I did for TFA and RO, and even each of the prequels (ROTJ beat me to this world by a couple of years), I feel more excitement about Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War than I do for TLJ, which concerns me, because I love Star Wars above all else.

One lousy trooper variant......

Me thinks HT has a glut of TFA troopers still and is not willing to dive into anything too early....

TFA : burned made to many figures.
SS: movie stunk ....made way too many characters from a terrible film.
Age of Ultron: made too many duplicates of figures everyone had
BvsS: see above

HT has actually made some really poor decisions as of late with "supposed" blockbusters. I think that they are re thinking this strategy now.

I hope this disappointing Force Friday, and its equally disappointing figure, is not an indication of a disappointing movie.

Everything that you have said today about Force Friday has been right on the money! These Disney guys better be careful...

More wisdom here...Hot Toys needs to be more like old Hot Toys...or current Blitzway for that matter. Tech Noir Terminator, BD Robocop & Murphy set, DX08 and DX09...all some of my favorite figures in my collection and none of them were chasing a summer release date or sharing licenses with Hot Topic...just amazing figures of proven, dare I say modern classic material...

This is only their second year. Burn out already? :lol
They did it for Rogue One too didn't they? I don't think it was as big but there was stuff out. I wouldn't say burn out but doing it when the last film was ten years between for The Force Awakens versus two years if you're only counting the numbered films and one year since the last Star Wars film, it's easy to see why it can be harder to build hype. I think some companies don't get that when they whore these franchises out.

Yes, was that the first? Didn't they start with TFA? I'm confused now.

I saw somewhere labeled "Force Friday II" and took it literally.

Maybe its two years running, but three Force Fridays... but then this would be Force Friday III... right?

I think its the combo-ing with May 4th, just seems like "Christmas in July" or some other whackadoodle lets grab your cash make believe ****. :lol

This is the second Force Friday...last year they had something called..."Rogue Friday" same idea but since it was "Rogue" and not "Force" I guess they can get away with calling this Force Friday II...maybe next year's round of disappointment will be called "Solo Saturday."
