That's not the point. The point is it is illegal. I could just as easily argue that SOLIDSNAKE is using the footage to make HIS reviews better at the expense of Fox, whether or not there's profit to be made.

And I'll pose the same question to you:

That whole statement is a pretty childish thing to say. You should read the FBI warnings on the DVDs, then when you're done, reread them. You purchased the right to view it in your home, not cut it apart to include clips in your reviews. That's like me saying, "if you can't obey the copyright laws, don't buy it then."

Because its not yours. Plain and simple. You cannot do whatever you please with it. You cant replicate it, you cant remake it, you cant sell it.

Thats the law. End of story. Is a good law? Yes, and no. There should be a middle ground, but still. Its the law.

In no way does this make Fox out to be the heroes....but what they're doing isnt wrong, what you are, is.
But...some studios arent as selfish and enjoy the free publicity, if its done in a legal way....so just dont post any more Fox stuff....ok?

Fox is a company that owns a property. Just like you own your toothbrush. Be it tangible or intellectual, it's still a property.

You are not using vids to promote it's films. You're using their videos to promote your reviews. Otherwise, you could just as easily left the footage out.

I looked into this stuff the moment I got ^^^^ed by Fox, I just wish they could've had some kind of middle ground, as opposed to just outright acting...uh...out. But alas...Fox sucks...

WB took down one of my bootleged 300 trailers....and that was it. End of story. No deleting, just a simple, "Hey, you cant do this...we're fixing it, but dont do it again please. Thanks". So that was cool.
